Great Value, off grid Eco-living a short 4 minute walk from Seventy Five Mile Beach.

The Beach cottage, Fully fenced and screened including the verandah, Three bedroom, fully self contained cottage at Eurong Beach Fraser Island.

This is the only completely FENCED property for your privacy and security for little ones. Large Paper Bark trees and gardens add to the appeal of this cottage. A wide verandah with excellent BBQ & wok facilities makes for easy outdoor living. NO STAIRS.

Three Bedrooms contain two queen sized beds, one double bed, and two sets of bunk beds, this accommodates from 2 to 10 people. Max 6 adults +4 children (no camping on property). Linen NOT supplied. You are required to provide your own sheets (top & bottom sheets please - no sleeping bags allowed), pillows and towels. Quilts and blankets are supplied for your convenience.

Large lounge/dining/kitchen area, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, gas stove & hot water, electric 520L fridge freezer, automatic washing machine, solar, 240v 24hour power. Fully insect screened, fans in bedrooms and insulated ceilings to keep you cool in summer. A beach shower is conveniently located near the property entrance. For all future bookings (from Sept 2025) The cottage has access to cleaning sevices (was self clean). The house, lawns and gardens are maintained to a high standard.

The cottage is run by solar electricity and therefore appliances, including hair dryers, coffee machines and car fridges cannot be run from the house and electricity will be lost.

PLEASE NOTE: the cottage only has ONE power outlet however you can bring a power board to charge small electrical items such as telephones, computers and medical devices.

K'gari (Fraser Island) is accessible via barge at either Rainbow Beach (Inskip Pt) or Hervey Bay. You will require a Vehicle Access Permit prior to arrival on Fraser Island. The island is 4 wheel drive only and vehicles can be hired from Rainbow Beach.

A short 15 minute trip on the Mantaray Barge from Inskip Pt will land you at Hook Point. Drive north up the Eastern Beach for 34km from the Barge with the beautiful Pacific Ocean on your right, and the first sighting of houses will be Eurong Second Valley. Driving up the track you will arrive at a unique Hamlet with a few older style homes in a quiet bush land setting. This is where you will find The Beach Cottage.

The cottage is situated only a short 4 minute stroll down the sand track to the beach, with restaurant, shop, bakery & hotel a further 500m further along the beach front. Easy access to all popular lakes and rain forest areas, even if the tide is high.

K'gari (Fraser Island) is a World Heritage listed Island . Picture yourself driving down it's endless beaches or floating in one of the crystal clear lakes or creeks. Take a walk through the lush rain forest and witness the abundant wild life. Fraser Island is known for excellent fishing, especially during Tailor season (August - October) and much more to make your stay memorable.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Lock the doors and return the keys
The cottage is self clean, please ensure the cottage has been cleaned, kitchen, bathrooms cleaned and tidied, floors vacuumed and mopped.
Please remove the top mattress protector only and wash and hang out prior to leaving. Replace with clean mattress protector found in wardrobes and place quilt on bed tidy for next guest.
Please wash bath mat and tea towels and hang on line prior to leaving. If cottage is not left clean, tidy and ready for next guest a $200 cleaning fee will be charged.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No Camping on property. Property manager can enter property if required for service issues. If extra guests found, all guests will be asked to leave.
Bookings taken from Sept 2025 are no longer self clean. All rubbish must be removed on departure or a charge will be incurred for rubbish removal.
Breakages and damage to property will be charged to guest account. The person who books the accommodation is liable for all breakages/damage.

We live in Brisbane and fell in love with the beauty of Fraser Island after taking several holidays there. I am a nurse and my husband is self-employed. We found that Fraser Island was the perfect escape to unwind and relax only 3 hours from home. We love taking family and friends to Fraser Island and making lots of great memories.

Why they chose this property

We have raised four children and now have grandchildren and appreciate the importance of peace of mind and safety. This property is the only fully fenced property in Eurong and perfect for families young and old. The garden provides a great play area for the children and you can relax knowing the children are playing in a fully fenced area allowing you to enjoy the same freedom and fun as your children.

What makes this property unique

Large trees, lawn and gardens add to the attraction. The BBQ area is fully screened with mosquito netting. This eco-friendly cottage is run on solar energy with a back-up generator. It is ideally situated in a dingo-proof environment and is a short walk to the beach and close the Eurong resort, where you will find a bakery and shop and is the main access to Central station, Lake McKenzie and many other areas of interest. A taxi service is also conveniently located close by. Beautiful island mineral water is pumped daily to the tank.
