Truly the "Belle of the Bay", this beautiful custom waterfront home is tucked away at the very tip of one of Chincoteague's most popular residential communities - Oyster Bay I. This means you'll enjoy unobstructed 360 degree water and marshland views from nearly every space in the home. The decor and local art collection alone will "wow" you! Watch the sun rise as you sip your morning coffee from the balcony or screened porch. Enjoy the quiet and privacy as you watch the wildlife that surrounds this fabulous property. The main house features 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and an additional loft sleeping area (twin trundle bed). The detached garage features another living area/bedroom (2 Twin beds) that is available for guest use (lower level garage is not accessible by guests). NOTE: Living room fireplace is not functional.

- No smoking is permitted on the premises.
- Linens and towels are included with your reservation.
- No pets are permitted on the premises.
- Any reservations made for a future year (known as "Advanced Reservations") are subject to rate and availability changes. These reservations will be confirmed in January of the arrival year.

Beautiful location, peaceful

Comfortable space with exceptional views. Particularly liked that each room had own balcony and view. The heating system was odd, some bedrooms were very hot while others were cool, could not figure it out. Otherwise, everything worked and was comfortable get away for a winter weekend.

Nice but A Mixed Bag

We loved the location, the house layout, and its amenities. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was clean. However, as others have reviewed, the condition of the house is a little "shabby". Everything worked OK but the woodwork, the deck (watch out for splinters in bare feet), the outside furniture, etc. are rough. Could use a little update. We would still return because of the positives . . . and the price was right which may reflect the condition. The listing indicated that there is a new "beach" but that's stretching it a little as well.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Belle of the Bay has unmatched wide-open views of Oyster Bay which my family enjoyed over Thanksgiving. I'm not a morning person but woke early every day to see the magnificent sunrises. The house is a little worn, but beds were pretty good and water pressure great (these are my basic must haves) and the furniture clean and pretty comfortable. We were sad the fireplace wasn't working (we knew this when we rented), and there were a few things we could laugh over, but a more persnickety person might not. The fridge rubber seal kept falling off (we reported but couldn't be fixed over Thanksgiving) so we applied tape we found. One shower head was not working in the middle, so the stream of water was only left or right -- one of our family noted he felt like Moses. In the end, we had an amazing week in a good space for family to gather!

We have vacationed in Chincoteague for over 30 years and the location of this house was by far our favorite. Spectacular waterfront views, very quiet and a private dock which gave us the best crabbing success we've ever had! The inside of the home is nicely decorated and has lots of windows to enjoy the view. As with most rentals, some things are run down and in need of repair but nothing that prevented us from enjoying the space. The biggest issue we had was that the kitchen is way too small. No counter space whatsoever so it made it difficult for two people to be in there to cook for our group. We would definitely rent this home again (only because of the location) but would have to plan on eating out more often because of the small space.

Seven family members spent a week on Chincoteague, staying at the Belle of the Bay. It is a large, comfortable and well-stocked beach house that easily accommodated the entire family with room to spare. The many decks and windows afforded constant views of the beautiful bay and marsh grasses of Assateague. It was indeed a quiet and peaceful setting. We could kayak right from the dock. The Assateague beaches are a short drive from the house. We spent every day there, and the week went by all too quickly.

Beautiful, comfortable house and fantastic location

The house is beautiful and the views are spectacular. A very clean and well equipped home that served as a base for kayaking and hiking around chincoteague and assateague islands. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again.

Beautiful views from all the of the many decks on the house. So much thought went into the design of this home. It was the perfect place for our family to spend a week. We came down with my dad, my family and my sister and her kids and it was nice to be able to be together and remember my mom who just passed in January and loved Chincoteague.
