About this property

Renovated Barn - Idlewild Bridgetown

The barn has a rustic charm expressed by repurposing nearly all its original materials. Internally it is lined with its old Jarrah weatherboards and corrugated iron, and features massive exposed timber trusses and its original gantry and dolly.

Take in the stunning rural outlook from inside through enormous windows in the comfort of a warm fire or aircon in summer, or outside on the massive covered deck, with dining & lounge area to enjoy the gorgeous view.

Our king beds are able to be configured into long singles, so this provides great flexibility depending on your needs.

Ensuites have underfloor heating.

Full kitchen, dining area & generous lounge is complemented by wood fire & firewood is provided for your stay.

Smart tv, Chromecast (allows you to continue to watch your favourite show by casting it), Netflix & Kayo are complimentary

Included in your stay are generous breakfast supplies which last most people their entire stay - homemade granola, fresh homemade bread & jam, farm fresh eggs, bacon, milk, butter & a generous supply of Nespresso coffee pods & hot chocolate pods. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

Outside you will find a bbq & firepit (available for use in the unrestricted season) All wood for firepit supplied.

USB ports are located in the kitchen & bedrooms for charging your devices.

The barn is situated on 15 acres which you can explore & take some great walks. A walk map is provided.

We welcome children over 10yrs.

The Barn is a delightful stay experience for a maximum of 4 people.

Absolutely loved our stay at Idlewood. The property and views were amazing and the renovated barn was beautiful with everything you need provided, even some lovely fresh produce for breakfast, and very clean. The hosts were lovely and communication was fast and easy. We will definitely be planning to come back again!

Absolutely beautiful property. The cottage is cosy, with all amenities and supplies for a luxurious stay. Breathtaking views from the very moment daylight emerged. The friendly advice and greeting of welcome from Gill and James were most appreciated. The property is central to Bridgetown, Balingup, Manjimup and Nannup. We would happily return for a little rest and relaxation.

Wonderful Weekend Escape

Breathtaking views across the valley in a beautifully appointed cabin. From the moment we walked in we were thoroughly impressed with everything from the layout to the generous breakfast supplies. Gill has thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible. We will be back!

Wonderfully relaxing

Walking through the front door of the property you can't help but be astounded at the view out the large windows of the main living area, looking out over the valley. A glorious place to stay and do nothing but sit on the deck, watching the valley change throughout the day. Wonderfully attentive hosts, and a clean, modern house made the trip one to remember.

Idlewilde Barn is absolutely an absolutely gorgeous property with lovely relaxing views. On arrival we were met by the hosts and given information for our stay. The barn was spotlessly clean with beautiful added touches like farm fresh food supplied. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful Getaway

Are you looking for a place to stay so you can escape the humdrum of the city? Do you want a place that is clean, stylish and welcoming? Do you want hosts who will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome? Who will provide you breakfast including homemade bread, jam, butter and eggs? A place where the linen is top quality and there is everything you need to cook? An outdoor fire pit and bbq perhaps? Well…. Make sure you book and stay at Idlewild!! Most Comfortable Stay of our 2 month trip!

Renovated barn does not do this place justice. Yes, its a renovated barn but it is stunning, every detail is high end finished with very comfortable layout. Private with gorgeous views of the hills. You will not want to leave! The owners are over-the-top nice and home-made bread and butter delicious! Thanks for a great restful stay! If ever in the area we will for sure return!
