About this property

Luxury (Woora) Glamping Tent with stunning views across misty valleys

If your preferred dates are booked, please check our other two tents (Yira & Kaarta).

Welcome to "Serenity Gully" Glamping. Choose from our three off-grid, luxury tents. Breathtaking views and an extraordinary experience await at WA's luxury glamping retreat in the South West. Wander 478 acres of forest walks and trails; gaze at the spectacular night sky from private outdoor deck stone bathtub or your own nearby firepit. Each tent has been carefully positioned with a generous several hundred metres separation from the other two for your utmost privacy and peace.

Woora (Noongar far, far way) enjoys stunning views across rolling hills as far as the eye can see to the next valley and beyond. The mist in the valley between April and November will remind you of the mastery of nature. This is one of our two sunrise tents. If you would prefer a tent with a sunset look for our Kaarta tent.

Serenity Gully is an accredited Quality Tourism Business & Sustainable Tourism Business. We are 100% off-grid and committed to minimising our carbon footprint.

Each tent delivers supurb opulence with designer interior: kitchenette, 2 1/2 seater lounge, dining cafe table, wood fire with enough wood supplied for your stay, firepit, deck BBQ, Super-King bed, luxury linen & towels, bathroom with basin and cabinet, shower & flushing toilet.

THE SPACE
Each of our three luxury glamping tents offer breathtaking views and hundreds of metres between to ensure utmost privacy. You have full access to the entire 478-acre property to wander and explore the open fields and towering jarrah forests filled with wildflowers, banksia and grass tree groves.

All tents enjoy their own unique outlook, with a welcoming luxury interior. On the generous outdoor deck sits the glorious stone bathtub, an extraordinary place to view golden sunsets or soak beneath a star-filled night sky.

After a day of bush walks, you'll sleep peacefully surrounded in comfort by the elegant “Fitzroy” bed fitted with a King Koil Royal Plush mattress and luxury linen. A divinely comfortable two-and-a-half-seater lounge offers the perfect “curl up with a book” spot as the flickering wood-fire provides cosy warmth and ambience. With a designer cafe table and sideboard, along with other delightful furnishings from cushions to bed throws to lamps, you'll feel right at home.

Our thoughtfully designed kitchenette and bathroom supply all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has a bar fridge, basic pantry items, quality dinnerware, cups and glassware for most beverages. Complimentary refreshements range from hand-mixed leaf tea and herbals to decadent drinking chocolate and ethically sourced, eco coffee pods for the Nespresso Coffee Maker.

A gorgeous ensuite offers a full-pressure hot shower, complimentary bath salts, shower gel, shampoo and moisturiser from Boodjera, plus a flushing toilet with eco-friendly bamboo toilet paper. You'll feel especially pampered with our comfy-soft bathrobes, fluffy bath towels, washers and hand towels.

What’s an amazing view without a large deck?
Besides that sumptuous bathtub, you'll find lounging deckchairs with matching ottomans begging you put up your feet and relax. Barbecue a delicious meal amid the towering trees on the cute Baby Weber Q. Only a few steps from each tent lies your private firepit with rustic log seating. During cooler months, toast marshmallows and sip wine or a hot brew. In warmer months, this is the perfect spot for night sky viewing and a toast to an unforgettable day.

An assortment of games and cards will make for a fun night of conversation and laughter as you relax to the sounds of the Australian bush.

GUEST ACCESS
As Serenity Gully is a privately owned forest sanctuary, you can wander anywhere on the property. We have signposted paths through the forest and you have the freedom to explore anywhere you like.

About the host

Host profile image
For Susan and Franco, Serenity Gully began as a dream to simply find a few acres with a get away cottage within reasonable driving distance from Perth. When Susan discovered glamping eco tents during a Google search, suddenly the hunt became about peaceful land with stunning views, near a quintessential Australian country town with great amenities.

18 months and 20,000 kilometers later, they drove past a 'for sale' sign on their way to view another property in Kangaroo Gully. It took mere minutes to realize they'd found the perfect spot — breathtaking views, complete isolation, and a wonderous jarrah forest. With the land much larger than they'd imagined at 478 acres, they knew guests would love the adventure of the unrestricted exploration of this magnificent property.

After spending time in historic Bridgetown enjoying the town's charm and wonderful restaurants and cafes, they fell even more in love. Erecting a couple of bell tents wasn't on the agenda though. Only the most luxurious experience possible would do justice to this magical place. Not only do the tents deliver 5-star experience in eco-style, but each is sited for utmost privacy and peace. Every comfort, from the furnishings and cloud-soft mattress, outdoor bath, to even the crockery and glassware was carefully considered. The focus is on self-sustaining and minimal footprint with solar power, water harvesting and even recycling of scraps with vermiculture (worm composting).

Susan says, "The first time you view a sunset here is akin to a mystical encounter. As dusk descends, suddenly dozens of kangaroos appear, birds call goodnight from the trees and the sun turns the towering jarrahs golden red. Slowly pins of light appear in the blue-black sky, and there is revealed the majestic Milky Way and a carpet of twinkling stars. You've just experienced Serenity Gully magic."

Why they chose this property

Just look at the pictures. It's completely stunning Jarrah forests and native Australian bush only three and a half hours from Perth or one and a half hours from Busselton Airport. There's nothing like this property in WA for hill and valley views and isolation available for guests.

What makes this property unique

We're 100% eco, off-grid with 478 acres of private forest for you to explore. Unlike most other luxury glamping offers in Western Australia and even wider Australia, our tents are distanced from each other and nestled into the forest for complete privacy, peace and seclusion.
