Just sit on the deck all day and be amazed or enjoy swimming in this very protected and shallow warm waters or watch the Bald Eagles or King Fisher or Blue Herons.

4 night stay

Well equipped trailer with a beautiful view. We did on the whole enjoy staying at the property. It is quite a remote property which was a little nerve wracking at first as our signal was limited but the setting is worth it. Only about 20 mins to St Peters. Our main feedback was just around the compost toilet, whilst eco efficient, it does have a smell and this smell progressively got worse with more use. We did flag this with the owner who was quick to respond and suggested using the fan. We were present during a storm which may not have helped the smell but one to be aware of. The view is lovely but the grass/beach area is somewhat overgrown with tree branches, grass and marshy type drop to the beach so not as easily accessible to reach the beach with an infant/child. We were kindly offered the use of the canoe but unfortunately didn’t get chance to use this.

Diana, I'm sorry to read about your problems with the composting toilet. It's actually an award-winning patent from Sweden that separates solids and liquids and doesn't produce any odor. Usually the bag of solids is emptied by the guests, especially if they or the kids eat food that smells, and we provide enough bags. As for the landscape, we have a mowed area suitable for even another tent, and the rest is pretty wild, with lots of flowers for bees and butterflies. It might be a little natural challenge to get to the shore with a couple of year old child, but there is a footpath and a little step to the water.

Gaétan I am sad about this review. You both came surprisingly earlier then booked without announcement. When we double checked this secluded paradise (on your booked arrival day) if all your requests were prepared you did not tell us that you came earlier but I could see that the compost toilet was used pretty much already. I showed you how to empty it (every few days) but didn't do it myself for understandable reasons. Anyway if you didn't do that earlier than after 1 1/2 weeks as you wrote I can tell you that the only reason for odor was your human left overs... This highly recommended and patented $1700 separating compost toilet comes with a vent going out and you can also use the camper ventilation in the bathroom blowing lots of fresh air into the bathroom. Regarding the "algae" there is always enough water to swim and get soon to 1.5 m depth still on solid ground even at low tide. Off course the Atlantic is no bathtub and complains about a few plants in a healthy water eco system is astonishing. It was impossible to get you on the phone and talk during your stay but thank you for a clean house and extra money for extended stay left on the table (except deducting taxes from an already very much discounted monthly price) what was incorrect and self righteous. Off course I pay taxes).

Secluded with water access. Great for kayaking and canoeing and ability to have a camp fire. Loads of wildlife, cranes, woodpeckers, rabbits, grouse and eagles. The perfect camping experience with the luxury of a comfortable bed and a functional kitchen.
