The first floor is one living area, plus dining room, kitchen and half bath (with oversize washer/dryer).
The second floor is an informal living room / library, separate office, and bedroom with queen bed.
The top floor is the master bedroom with king size high-end tempurpedic bed, a middle bedroom with beautiful Asian antique armoires and queen bed, a third bedroom with queen bed, and a large bath with marble floors and beautiful shower.
NOTE: some photos may show the top floor middle bedroom as a dressing room. We recently added a queen bed but some photo collages may not reflect that.
This is a Capitol Hill Stay property. Capitol Hill Stay is a veteran-owned small business with 24 properties on Capitol Hill. We have been providing furnished lodging on Capitol Hill since 1997. We use excellent cleaners and pay them a living wage (they are best in DC if you ask me). And we have a professional full time property manager. We have been a primarily longer term housing provider for 25 years but pricing on Airbnb is very hard to communicate and set, as it's impossible to know the dates and circumstances of every possible guest's needs in advance when we set pricing. Guests have total access. It has high speed internet, DirecTV with tons of channels, fully furnished, all linens, etc.
I live three blocks away. I'm more than happy to provide information on local attractions. Also provide a detailed Welcome Letter with relevant neighborhood information.
Capitol Hill is an outstanding neighborhood. It's historic, charming, and ideally located at the absolute geographic center of DC. Terrific safety, with the US Capitol police patrolling the area. Home to many politicians, media figures, etc. Eastern Market (farmers market and baker/butcher etc) is a few blocks away. Amazing restaurants and lively bars just around the corner!
Three blocks to Union Station red line metro.. Union Station train station is three blocks. Union Station is home to the major sightseeing tours. Capital Bikeshare kiosk is three blocks. We recommend Uber or Lyft to get around the city.
There is an apartment in the basement of this home. As such we would need people to be reasonably quiet on the first floor, where the kitchen and dining room are. Quiet hours would be from 10 pm to 7:30 am.

A word about rates:
Since every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE IS THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.
Late spring and summer are the 'high season' very high demand months, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bring people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid. Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do less, but the rates do go up. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available in very late June or July 1. If the property you inquired about seems to have an availability date that may not match up then you can always check HERE see all properties and their available dates.
Our average booking is around four to six months. We are primarily a longer term lodging provider. We can do shorter, but in the furnished housing business rates go up for shorter stays.
