The property was very clean, decor was extremely nice, they definitely thought of everything you could need in the kitchen. Neighborhood was quiet, our dog loved the fenced in backyard. A home away from home. I would stay there again and again.
Neighbors were a little loud and their dogs barked quite a bit but loved the beauty of the home.

I would've rated our stay 5 stars, but the house was missing some amenities that they said were included (ie. ironing board). It would've been nice to also have extra essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, etc., to save trips to the store. Overall, my family still had a good time.

Paul,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re so glad to hear your family had a good time overall. We do want to note that we send out a “What to Pack” list prior to arrival so that guests can be well prepared with any essentials they may need during their stay. That said, we appreciate your comments on amenities and supplies, and we’ll keep them in mind as we continue working to improve the guest experience.
House was well equipped and the bikes were a nice amenity. Washer and dryer a big plus as well as the gas grill. Served its purpose! Close to everything.

Exactly as described, very nice! We have dogs and the neighbors dogs were fine. They are small ankle biters.

The house was very clean and the property manager always replied quickly. It is very pet friendly and there where two dog crates in the down stairs area. The neighbors dogs are loud but im use to dogs barking. It is close to the public beach access but we go to the 4WD beach when we are there. The house is about a block away from Shopping and the best donuts in NC. We will definitely book again.

Missing necessary items
First surprise was no dresser in the master bedroom. Then the single towel packages on each bed were supposed to last a weeks stay? Kitchen dishes, silverware, etc was very limited. When the hot water tank failed, the communication from Kees was non-existent when the replacement was to be installed.

Hi Ronald! We appreciate you for leaving a review. We do apologize for the issues you had during your stay. We do send out an email of what guest should pack that do include towels and any extra kitchen utensils. As for the water heater, we do see that we had needed a vendor to come out and assist with this since it needed to be replaced. We try our best to keep guest informed when it comes to vendors being sent out. We hope to host you again in the future!
I never went on vacation. Had car troubles. Called and spoke with the vaca home people and they refused to work with me. $2300.00 down the drain.
Just the fact I was sent this to see how I liked my stay shows how little they care😂🤣😂

Decent cottage
I had to call to get the door entry code and did not receive the email. If you are renting and have small dogs you should be warned about the 2 dogs back behind the cottage & also the 2 dogs on the right side of property. The 2 large dogs behind the property broke lose 2 fence boards & were in our backyard & got aggressive with one of our dogs. Had to have maintenance come out to fix the fence. The cottage was not very clean & after searching hi & low for the living room tv remote we found it under the coach under magazines. The sheets were not put on the bed to straight & they were crooked with the bed skirts shoved up all under the mattress. The beds only had sheets & a thin comforter on the bef. The beds could use blankets also.
Overall the property is great, and close to the beach. However, the yard was grossly misrepresented. The listing says newly fenced in yard. Only one side of the yard is actually a new fence. This would not be an issue except the back portion of the fence is older, shorter, and it’s’ yard contains two large (one aggressive) dog. I’m fairly confident this dog could jump the fence, and I did not feel comfortable having my own dogs outside. I specifically booked the property with this amenity in mind, so this was frustrating. Additionally, the management company seemed to be stingy in supplying toilet paper, paper towels, and dish detergent. For a house that sleeps 10 plus, we were provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, and 3 dish pods. The yard also looked like it had not been mowed in a few weeks. This may seem trivial, but for the price of the property I just felt these issues could have been prevented by being transparent, and by providing adequate supplies.
