This fantastic 8 bedroom home provides the convenience of slope side skiing on Timberline Mountains Winterset Trail. Love it!! Year-round Lost River Lodge offers comfortable accommodations. Perfect for a family or friend reunion, enjoy well thought out amenities that include multiple TV’s, WIFI, a fully equipped kitchen, wood burning fireplace and more! Professional or amateur astronomers will love spending part of the evening in the outdoor hot tub. It’s a short drive to Blackwater Falls, Thomas, and Davis. For sure this one is a win/win!

My only complaint is there is no air conditioning on the upper level which made for uncomfortable sleeping for the ones that slept there. With taste being said if I stay here again it will only be in the cooler months.

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay. The kitchen was well equipped. Hot tub was wonderful. The house was so sound proof that I couldn’t hear the neighbors huge party. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect place for our family

We had 17 guests and everyone was comfortable! We loved the large community space where we could all hang out at night. Hot tub was great, location was awesome as some of us hiked to the top of the mountain every morning! Staff was very responsive for garbage pick up and hot tub shocking regularly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our recent trip made for our fourth consecutive year at Lost River Lodge! This home could not be in a better location. We love the ability to ski in and out, soaking in the hot tub slope-side, and the easy access by vehicle (although AWD/4WD is recommended). A few members of our group enjoyed the new gym and spa this year which is just a couple of minutes away as well. This home is the ideal space for our group. This year, we had 13 adults and 5 children under age 2. The ground level features three bedrooms with queen beds, two full bathrooms, two twin beds tucked into the hallway, and an additional living room space (although this space is rarely used for us and would probably function better as an additional bedroom if such renovations could be made). The main floor features a large bedroom with a king bed and attached full bathroom, a laundry room/mud room, half bath, fully equipped kitchen, large kitchen table, and a large living room area with ample seating, a gas fireplace, and big windows to watch skiers pass by. The main floor also provides easy access to the hot tub and slopes. Upstairs features two king bedrooms with attached full bathrooms, a room with two twin beds, a queen bedroom, and a full bathroom. We were able to get into our home by noon this year which was awesome! Management is always great to work with, and they are always very quick to respond to our needs. We have already booked our trip for next year and are looking forward to returning to our home away from home!

Spacious. We enjoyed hot tub and air hockey. House is dated and needs work -leaks paint and not many paper products provided. (Example napkins, trash bags and hand soaps) but clean and beautiful location.

Best Summer Weekend!

This property was clean, spacious, and well taken care of. There was toilet paper, linens, and cleaning supplies available. The location was easy to get to. You are close to the neighbors, and there isn't much of a yard. There is an amazing porch/deck and an awesome giant couch and dining room table. The listing says 18 people, but we decided that at least 24 people could comfortably stay there if needed.

Reviewer Comments: We take 4 days every spring to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Canaan Valley. Our group, of approximately 16 adults has been doing this for almost 40 years. We love the place. We started by staying during only winter months, but, due to age have pretty much switched to summer. The hiking and comeraderie are the most popular activities, and we still ski a little bit. Lost River Lodge provides a well-equipped, pleasant experience, that is centrally located.

The location is fabulous and the layout and room configuration worked out perfectly for 5 couples +. The hot tub was 🔥, the game table saw some competition and the large long high dining table hosted some good games as well. The couch is dangerous, if you want to stay awake! The kitchen had all the essentials, including crockpot. The home was clean and comfortable. Beware, this property will be booked annually by our group...

Perfect spot for a multifamily vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We took a multifamily vacation to this house. 15 people, and we never felt crowded. A lot of the furniture is older, but it’s very sturdy. The house is very clean. Hot tub worked great and was a wonderful treat for the kids. Right on the ski slope. The kitchen was equipped with so many pots pans, and all the things that you would need to cook family dinners as well as coffee pots, and Keurig. Also a second fridge in the laundry room. Office staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we had trouble with the Wi-Fi. (Our fault, not theirs)Would recommend to anyone.
