We absolutely LOVED this property! The cabin is pristinely clean - and beautifully decorated. The back porches look over a forest and it’s just a wonderful feeling of seclusion yet within walking distance to everything in the heart of Highlands.

This was our second time to rent this property, and we are already thinking about a return! This clean, cozy and well-maintained cabin is only a 5-10 minute walk from all of the stores and restaurants on Main Street. Highly recommended!

Cabin in the woods feeling but minutes from Highlands. All modern appliances. Fans are modern and quiet. Lowest temp was 55 but heat barely came on so I suspect well insulated. New windows and appliances. We didn’t watch TV but very small TV. Good response from management when needed.

60th Birthday Weekend!

This was our first visit to Highlands and we loved it! The cabin was exactly as described. Great location, close to town but also felt like we were in the woods. Easy check in, and the house was immaculate. Comfy beds. We didn’t do any cooking on our 3 night stay, with so many great places to eat out, but the kitchen was well equipped.

Great for a small family

Great location. Loved being in town but also in the woods. Fit our small family well. Had everything we needed. The door at the top of the stairs locks so we were able to let our toddler walk around without worrying about him falling down the stair, which was great!

Weekend Getaway!

Loved our short stay in Highlands here. Such an easy walk to town, even with our stroller! The house was a classic cabin feel, and super clean. We loved the touch of the towels and even toilet paper tied into bows. It was perfect for our family of 3! I will say the stairs inside are a little steep, so just be aware of that. The bedrooms are on the basement level and the living is on the main level. We didn’t mind this at all. Would definitely recommend this place!

We really felt like we got away.

Overall we had a great experience at the Spotted Owl. Cozy, romantic, great location and view. Very clean and updated. Responsive management company. A few areas for improvement: could use a larger tv, ice maker or ice trays, more cookware, softer pillows and softer king mattress. For a great hike, Glen Falls has beautiful views and is only a seven minute drive from the house.
