This luxury king studio apartment sleeps up to 4 guests. Full use of resort facilities, directly in front of Fisherman's Beach, Torquay. Centrally located on The Esplanade in Torquay, you are only minutes from cafes, restaurants, breweries, shops, surf outlets and more. Explore Torquay on the numerous walking and bicycle tracks. Short drive to Bells Beach and many local wineries, breweries and distilleries. Take a short day trip along the famous Great Ocean Road and see the iconic 12 Apostles.

Offering all a resort has to offer including indoor and outdoor heated pools, spa, gym, tennis courts, BBQ area and a playground. This resort is perfect for summer or winter conditions and all family types. A perfect couples getaway or family stay.

Torquay285 offers quality accommodation in the heart of Torquay. Situated across the road from Torquay surf beach and minutes stroll to the cafes and restaurants precinct, walking/riding tracks along the beach front, supermarkets and golf courses.

Torquay285 is made up of a King size bed and a brand new Koala sofa bed (voted the most comfortable sofa bed), with a balcony overlooking Deep Creek Reserve.

This studio apartment offers open plan living with a separate bathroom which includes; double walk in shower, spa bath, toilet, washing machine and dryer. It includes a kitchenette and dining area with stove top, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, kettle, tea/coffee facilities, cutlery, cups, mugs and plates and cooking appliances. It also includes a Coffee Machine, Smart TV and Unlimited, high speed WIFI with Telstra. Quality, luxurious Sheridan linen and towels are provided. BYO Beach Towel.

Complimentary apartment amenities include; Free coffee pods for coffee machine, T2 tea bags, sugar, full cream milk and pantry staples (oil, salt, pepper and tomato sauce). Mediclear surface defence spray (kills COVID germs), Lychee and Passion locally made hand wash, Lemon Myrtle locally made dishwashing liquid, Shampoo, Conditioner, Shower Gel and Hand soap. Hair dryer is supplied for guest use, along with a washing machine, clothes dryer and iron (ideal for long stays!) Guests to provide all other amenities.

Lovely weekend break for myself and my children. The room was spacious and light-filled with serene views of the coastal scrubland from the window and balcony. Huge bathroom with double showerhead and the jet bath was a plus. Lana has thought of everything so it was an easy and relaxing weekend away. Beach across the road, great cafe's and shops walking distance. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was clean and spacious, with beautiful surroundings and the beach right next door. The large swimming pool and kids’ play area were perfect for families. Shopping centres were conveniently just 10 minutes away. Most importantly, Lana & the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Studio in Torquay

I loved this stay in Torquay! It's got a fantastic view from the floor to ceiling windows of the green space and feels very private and secluded. The unit has everything you would need for a short or longer stay like I did. The amenities and grounds are lovely as is the location. And the host was very accommodating and responded quickly. Highly recommended.

Perfect weekend getaway

We had a lovely weekend in Torquay. The property was lovely, even bigger than I had imagined. The check in and check out process was easy. We walked to the cafes/restaurants everyday. Would highly recommend this as a weekend getaway.

Torquay 285 was a great place to stay. My two teenagers and I fit in the studio perfectly and were surprised by how well equipped it was! Teabags, milk, coffee machine plus some pantry supplies were awesome! It was also my birthday when there and the owner had put in some bubbles in the fridge for me! Walking across the road to the beach and then to the pool was a bonus! Easy walk into town too! Great communication, awesome location and just a terrific place to stay!

This resort definitely has a lot going for it with the indoor and outdoor pools and spa. Sorry to hear the beach access is not wheelchair friendly. Unfortunately this is not something we can control and is no reflection on our apartment. You would need to speak with the local council about this.

February in Torquay

We had a fabulous stay at Torquay 285. The apartment is superb: amazing floor to ceiling glass windows and balcony overlooking a nature reserve; everything you need for a stay - even a washer and dryer and generous amounts of tea and coffee; and a lovely spec all in tip top condition. The resort is superb with a beautiful pool and spa as a sort of oasis in the centre, and then really good facilities such as a well equipped gym…and of course a stones throw from the beach. Highly recommended.

Week long stay

Beautiful location, pool, beach so close. Great bathroom, nice view. Lots of good utensils in the kitchen, however two main concens: 1. Checkin complicated, as had to go to a storage unit for key pickup, which also needed access codes. Also could have used 2 sets of keys, but not supplied. 2. Fridge very small for a week long stay. On the whole would have given 5 stars, but our two concerns brought it down a bit. Thank you.

Lovely Host, Outdated Property

Lana, the host, was great to deal with. She messaged me back right away when I had issues with the cleanliness of the room upon arrival. Unfortunately, the property itself had some issues, as did this particular unit. The pros and cons from my stay are outlined below: Pros • Floor to ceiling windows in unit • Lovely forest view (walking path directly below suite) • Comfy pillows • Big smart TV • Big communal pool area • Jetted tub* (con below) • Large 2 person standing shower • Kitchenette with stove and small dishwasher • Corner unit • Balcony • Washer/dryer • Ample underground parking Cons • Sticky/dirty floors upon arrival (Lana sent cleaner back to the room the next day). Counters were also not thoroughly cleaned • Decor, furniture, floors are dated • Could use a new duvet; quite lumpy • Mini fridge is too small, tiny freezer doesn't freeze anything (had water in ice cube trays for 5 days and it did not freeze) • Small garbage can in kitchen • Uncomfortable mattress and couch • Jetted tub hadn't been cleaned (brown gunk came out of the jets when turned on) • Curtains dirty on bottom (looks like mould) • "Hot" tub is freezing cold. Had to literally get out after 2 minutes and go back to the room for a hot bath. • Reception isn't interested in helping you as your unit is technically not resort-owned (ie. bring food from hotel cafe up to room) • Cafe food is mediocre at best (cold, bland pizza)

Glad to hear there were many things you liked about your stay and the property. It was unfortunate to hear about some of the issues that were not up to your standard. I did try to rectify any concern you had (eg. sending in a cleaner for additional cleaning), but when you requested to stay for additional nights (which was given to you at a much discounted rate), I assumed the apartment was to your liking. The furniture in the apartment is new, including the koala sofa bed which most guests rave about the comfort. We do mention in our ad that we are not part of the Wyndham group, so this would affect you being able to order room service. I can't comment too much on the quality of the food at the Wyndham, but the restaurants and cafes in Torquay are consistently rated highly amongst tourists.
