Enjoy a quaint century home in the heart of Grimsby. Many upgrades mix with many character features to give you a comfortable and cozy stay-new mattresses ‘22, hot tub ‘23 & gas fireplace’20. You can walk to Bruce trail hikes, or bike to local wineries from your doorstep. Downtown Grimsby offers a variety is eclectic shops, coffee shops, patios & restaurants and is only a 2 minute walk from the house. It is located on a quiet street with a fully fenced, shady mature and private lot. Enjoy listening to birds, frogs and the rippling Forty Mike Creek from the hot tub in the backyard. This home is a great place to gather with family and friends and enjoy the Niagara area. Niagara Falls is 30min is away and closest winery is 7km. Taxes added at end. Inst: @green_oakhouse

Check hot tub levels with strips provided and add chlorine tabs to floating duck if empty.

Nice

Nice property in a nice location. Didn’t expect closets and draws to be full with owners clothes but we made do. AC compressor was turned off we had to call the owner to get it turned on, she was quick to run over. Nice yard and hot tub.

Thanks for your honest review Barbara. Unfortunately, only some drawers are available for guests, as it is a my main residence. With older century homes, storage is an ongoing battle. Sorry if this inconvenienced you. Glad you had a nice stay & could enjoy the house-it’s a beautiful family home I love to share with others

Charming place & great host

We had family and dogs for a Thanksgiving wknd in Grimsby. Sarah was a great host and the place was charming. A block from great Fall Colours on the Bruce Trail and a block from pubs and restaurants on Main St. Great!

Nice stay in Grimsby Ontario!

My family and I stayed at this house for four days. It was centrally located in town and had a nice set up in their backyard to relax in. We unfortunately, didn’t spend much time there as we were visiting family but I feel it was equipped with all you would need for your stay. The only complaint I would have is that we needed to bring our own pillows which is a hard thing to travel with. This was do to Ontario covid rules and not the host I believe but be sure to bring them. All in all we highly enjoyed our stay and would use again.

I feel in love with Green Oak House 20 years ago and I have lived in this beautifully restored century home, a labor of love that has been my passion and pride. Nestled right downtown on a quiet street, this historic gem radiates charm with its original hardwood floors & intricate moldings. Over the years, I have worked tirelessly to preserve its character while carefully updating it for modern comfort, to make this home a unique gathering place for families and friends right in the heart of the small town of Grimsby. I truly love sharing my home with other families, as every guest falls in love with its cozy charm, just as I did. Having grown up in Niagara, I have a wealth of knowledge to share with guests. Whether exploring vineyards on the Niagara escarpment or dipping your toe into the nearby beaches, I will share the local scoop with guests to ensure their time at Green Oak House is memorable. I am a dedicated yogi and offer private classes right in the backyard of the house, upon request.

Green Oak House is one of 20 houses on a very quiet street with close knit neighbors, where we still say ‘Good Morning’ & enjoy impromptu porch visits. The street is amazing for kids and allows entry only on one end (not a one way, but exit at top is seldom used as puts you in a circle)

What makes this property unique

Green Oak House is situated about 200m from downtown Grimsby. Walking to the local shops, pubs & restaurants or yoga studio is a must for your stay. The Bruce Trail travels past the wooded area at the need of the street. Beamer Falls is about a 5 minute walk away and offers gravel trails through the forest , gorgeous views of Lake Ontario, Toronto & the town. Truly, this house is in the BEST location for taking in all Grimsby has to offer.
