We had a great stay. There were small issues when we arrived (cleaner was late due to roads and something not working) , but the communication and follow-up was excellent! The place was very clean and well appointed. We had a great stay.

Great kitchen/ living area and stocked with lots of snow stuff. Only downside was the heater- boiling hot in bunk room and no heat in boot room. The heater is also outside the two non kid bedrooms and is incredibly loud when it comes on- woke me up every night and it was too cold to turn it off. Manager is also not very responsive.

Wonderful house and great host. The house is fully stocked with everything you’d need or want especially for fun in the snow. Great views to sit and stare off the loft. We had no issues keeping the house warm and the temp balanced. Can’t wait for the next trip.

We loved the layout of this house, it was super kid-friendly with 2 bunkbeds and lots of toys. The location is conveniently located and close to lots of resorts. We had a lovely time, would highly recommend to people with children!

We enjoyed our stay at the Soda House! The house is perfect for 2 families. The layout was perfect for kids, adults enjoyed time on separate level while kids slept and played on their own level. House was clean and had nice amenities like dishwasher, laundry and 2 car garage. We would highly recommend for families!!

Great location for skiing

It serves as a great base for our ski weekend, very close to Donner Ski Ranch, Sugar Bowl, etc. and only a 20 min drive to Truckee. Check-in and check-out was easy.The house is well suited for families with little ones. In the garage, there's a bunch of kiddo snow boots and gloves of all sizes for some snow play. The upstairs room has a bunch of toys, puzzles, books, blocks, games, etc. While we didn't cook during our stay, the kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of dinnerware and utensils. Bathrooms had multiple sets of towels and small bottles of toiletries.The heating is a slight bit uneven on the first night as we arrived late and the heat was working hard to warm up the house. Once we stayed for a full day, it worked out well.

Nice place, disappointing response to plumbing issue

The location was great for skiing at Sugar Bowl and the property was the perfect size and layout for a group of three adults and three kids. Beds and bathrooms were quite comfortable, kitchen/living/dining areas well equipped and pleasant. Checkin was easy.So why only three stars?Minor reason: the central heat was unusually uneven even when we left the fans running as they advised. It was hard to find a temperature setting that didn't leave the downstairs bedrooms too hot *and* the living/dining area too cold.Major reason: the last night of our stay, when we were cleaning up after dinner, the garbage disposal broke (after normal usage only, nothing out of the ordinary) and leaked dirty water under the sink. Then the morning of our checkout, when we tried to run the dishwasher we found that it leaked as well. We had to use a bunch of towels to clean up all the water.Now by itself this is forgivable; plumbing problems happen. But we emailed, texted, and called the property management contact and got no response at all that initial night, and only a "thumbs down" emoji the next day after checkout. We were lucky the problem happened so close to the end of our stay, otherwise it would have put a major cramp in our ability to use the house. And the lack of even a proper acknowledgement on the evening we reported it made us lose trust in the property management.

Providing a welcoming experience is important to us, and we’re happy these aspects made your stay enjoyable.-The backup occurred due to food debris in the disposal, which, because the dishwasher drains into the same system, exacerbated the issue. As the dishwasher was unable to properly drain, it led to the backup affecting both appliances.-The property manager has been made aware of your experience, and we’re disappointed with how it was handled. While he’s usually very responsive, he unfortunately missed your text during the night, and we sincerely apologize for that.Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We truly appreciate your feedback and would welcome the opportunity to host you again!
