Nice place with a great location. Great cabin feel and a nice open area to watch tv and play games, etc. Needs better cleaning. Cob webs hanging from ceiling in several rooms, grill was dirty and needs new parts, hot tub had gross line around it so no one used it.

Thank you for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed the location, cabin feel, and the open area for watching TV and playing games. Thank you for letting us know about your cleanliness concerns. We'll ask the housekeeping team to pay special attention to the grill and the cobwebs in their next clean. Regarding the hot tub, we do have a maintenance work order with photos confirming that it did get a full service just before your stay. It shouldn't have had organic build up so quickly after the service, so we'll ask the hot tubs team to keep an especially close eye on this tub in the near future. Thank you again for the feedback and we hope to host you again soon.

This place was perfect for a cozy getaway. The thing I liked most was the stocked kitchen -- whoever owns this place is a chef. There are pie pans, dutch ovens, quality knives, food processors, you name it. Beds are comfy, hot tub is great, location is perfect. Loved this place.

An authentic mountain cabin, it was an escape from Portland. A homey, easy atmosphere. The cabin is rustic and well loved — a warm pellet stove, hot tub, game selection, and a pass thru kitchen window. The location couldn’t have been better, steps from Ski Bowl, and close to nearby trails and town. This cabin is ideal for anyone looking for a laid-back, authentic mountain experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better spot to unwind and reconnect with nature.

Walkable location to both government camp and Mt. Hood Skibowl East. House was clean, and well maintained. We ran into an issue when we arrived but property manager was easy to contact, and worked to quickly resolve the issue. Very good customer service!

We stayed at the Moosewood Cabin for a birthday weekend. The location is TOP NOTCH within close walking distance to our reservations for cosmic tubing and snowboarding. The hot tub was welcomed every evening and quite spacious for multiple adults needing to recover from a day on the mountain. The cabin is spacious, well stocked with kitchen supplies like coffee maker, pots, pans, baking dishes, Crock-Pot (except spices and oils - bring your own!), and pretty clean. Communication was excellent and we had no idea with checking in.

Hi Sara! Thank you for sharing your experience at Moosewood Cabin! We're thrilled to hear you had a fantastic birthday weekend and enjoyed the top-notch location, especially being so close to cosmic tubing and snowboarding. It’s great that the spacious hot tub provided some much-needed recovery after your mountain adventures. We’re happy communication met your expectations and that check-in was smooth. We loved hosting you and hope you will book with us again for your next mountain getaway!
We had a fine stay but were underwhelmed by the property management. Several missing/worn/broken items and hot tub was really low on water. I have already provided a review in another forum (maybe that was the property manager) and don't recall specifics any more. It's mostly fine and the place is cozy. Our family still had a fun time and appreciated being able to stay.
