loved Puffin Inn....was there for a week and enjoyed every minute. The place is truly unique. The owner, Paul, was extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommend this place
We loved staying at the Puffin! The house had everything we needed, it was clean, the property was beautiful, and our kids (11) loved hiking through the trails. It was the perfect place for a relaxing vacation.
This was an absolutely perfect place❤️…..the property/setting and the owners (Paul and Ronna) next door! Being surrounded by wildlife and such natural beauty was completely peaceful and so relaxing….just what we wanted/needed. The lodging had every amenity and was very comfortable. It felt like a home away from home! I can’t wait to returrn!
If you love ocean views and quiet solitude this 34 acre peninsula is the answer. Located close to the fishing village of Pubnico which provdes food store, gas station, liquor and local gift shop etc so no need to leave the area if so desired. Otherwise, The rail trail (its gravel), Barrington passage, Cape Sable island beaches are all short drives away. local hospitality is great, plus we brought bikes and kayaks

Perfect retreat
I spent a memorable week here with friends. We had difficulty gaining access to the property but once we were settled, we enjoyed everything that was promised. The location is superb. We had many birds, a visiting fox, deer including one with a fawn. There was an eagle who fished in front of our house in spite of being tormented by the sea gulls. The views were unparalleled often with wonderful sunsets. We would very happily visit again.
Lovely house and grounds. One very comfortable bed but others had hard mattress. Drainboard for dishes would be useful. Paths were mowed allowing access to the water. Outside lights at night prevented enjoying the Milky Way.
OMG this place is so beautiful. The house is on a peninsula with water all around with trails to walk. Our weather was a perfect 10 so we got to truly enjoy it. Seals, loons, deer and a view for miles. The deck with chairs is where we spent most of our time. The night sky was so dark and full of stars and the milky way went from one end of the sky to the other. Did I mention the sunsets??? This is why we came, to rest and rejuvenate. The house was lovely too, everything we needed. I hope we can return to this very special place.
Our stay in early August was enjoyable. The house was super clean, cozy and comfortable. The kitchen had all the supplies needed. Air conditioning worked well when needed. Wi-Fi was great. Beautiful location with thoughtful paths to the rocky shoreline and lower deck to sit by the shore. Bring bug spray. Our 7 and 9 year old enjoyed exploring the rocks and were in knee deep into the water. A black bunny was near the house often that the kids loved. We drove to Carters beach 1 hr away which was a beautiful white sand beach.
Even though the weather wasn't the most cooperative for our stay, we just loved the views. The listing is as advertised, although there wasn't a telescope to look through, but would be great if they put one back. The beds are two twins in each room on the upper floor, and two queens on the main floor. The beds are on the firm side, so bring a topper if that would bother you. Liam is great to communicate with, always gets back to you right away, which I really appreciated. We would definitely go back =)

My family and I had an incredible stay. The location was breathtaking ... so much to explore on the property. A rocky beach. Wild roses everywhere. And so much wildlife. Osprey. Hawks. Gulls. Sheep and goats. Little bunnies too! When the tide was low, we could see seals sunbathing on a sandbar. And there is so much to see within a half hour drive. Lighthouses, museums. So many great restaurants (with hardly any tourists). And one of the most beautiful, pristine beaches I've ever seen (Hawk Beach). We almost had the beach to ourself. The cottage itself was great. As another reviewer noted, the beds are exceptionally firm (one, on the main floor, was softer). Liam, as well as the owner, were incredibly friendly and responsive. I can't recommend this place enough.

The property is located at an elevation and has breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean. One could just spend hours on the deck soaking in the beauty.
The house was beautiful, very clean and tastefully decorated. We were a group of 8 and there was ample space. There were some interesting puzzles and games available for us to explore. The communication was very quick and Liam was very helpful throughout our stay.
One small downside was that none of the rooms had a Queen or king bed, so the bed was a bit smaller that what we are used to.
We would highly recommend this property and would surely like to come back again!
Cabin is very nice and comfortable. The property is magical, bird lovers paradise! Lots of nature and scenery. Loved it!
