This was far more rustic than we imagined. It is miles from anything with no wifi and no tv. Although we paid for 2 nights, we left after one night.I guess that I did not read the fine print.
Was a pleasure to stay here. Cute little cottage that we will definitely book again. It is close to Yarmouth and other tourist attractions.Right on the water where the clam diggers go out every day. They are very nice and love to talk. The wildlife was an added feature, family of deer would come down in the evening, Eagles sitting on the rocks and unbelievable sunsets and stars at night. No tv, and Wi-Fi but who needs it when you have all of the above to watch.Cottage was very clean!Loved it!
We left after one day of a weeklong trip due to the uncomfortable bed and sofa and lack of knowledge about the dozen trucks on the beach each day and the beach that wasn’t quite a beach that you could enjoy being on. Also the driveway and parking wasn’t great being on a lawn. Careful of the garbage on the corner of the lot from what seems to be the fishers. Also good luck getting cel service. At least there was a radio?
We loved staying here and could have stayed for much longer. Everything you need and so much more. Who needs a TV if you have these kind of views. So quite and peaceful, and the cottage is perfect.
Cottage was cozy and clean , Beautiful scenery looking out on the water and watching the clam diggers out in the sand. Not far from the city of Yarmouth and lots of beaches to explore. Communication with Della was great and gave us tips of what beaches to explore. Will return again.
The cabin was exceptionally clean and tidy. It was perfect for our needs while exploring the Yarmouth area. We ate our breakfasts and dinners there and found everything we needed to do so, including a big pot to boil lobsters. Having the clam diggers show up every morning was a bonus. Had fresh clams for dinner our second day. Over all, a great experience.
It was exactly what I needed just home away from home. walked the beach many times with my Dog Bingo.enjoyed Saturday afternoon on the deck with my coffee, book with Bingo at my feet.while
My husband went exploring for a place to fish.
Hope to return again
We liked the location with beauty of the water and sunsets. The road was heard to find as not signed with name for the directions so back and forth some and asked directions from a neighbor. (Frog Point Road)
We loved staying in this simple cabin right on the shore. The view of the clam boats and sunsets was absolutely beautiful. The listing is accurate and note that there is no WiFi or TV service so this is a place to really enjoy nature uninterrupted. The only issue we encountered was that it was difficult to find the property after dark (it is really dark!). A house number sign near the road would be very helpful.
The weather in SWNS in winter can be ferocious. The cabin was warm and cosy. Lots of hikes in the vicinity. Good birding. Bring proper outdoor clothing and rainboots if visiting in winter. The driveway a little tricky in wet weather.
Beautiful view just outside the front porch. Fun watching the clammers in the morning. Perfect spot to explore the south east or southwest portions of Nova Scotia. Just 17 minutes from town and the ferry. Loved it!!!
The cottage is quaint and had all that we needed for a quiet and comfortable holiday. It is a restful spot with lovely views, changing tides and daily birdsong. We were pleased with the small amenities such as the number of household items supplied from barbeque starter to spices, and all the towels and and soaps amongst other daily necessities needed when away from home. We loved the area and very much enjoyed our visit to this part of the province, and look forward to returning.
this place is great. It only gas two negative issues, the sofa is terrible it is so uncomfortable that we couldn't set on it (simply worn out) also the entrance to the driveway needs gravel, we have a Dodge Caravan and the bottom dragged both coming in and leaving. If we would have brought our can we would have needed to park on the road.
My family of 4 stayed for 4 days 3 nights. Was amazed by the veiw as soon as we got there. Felt like a little piece of heaven. Thank you so much Guy for allowing us to stay. We will definately be back to stay again. Our girls loved the beach when shell hunting almost everyday. The pull out couch was a little uncomfy but thats minor to how amazing and wonderful everything else was.

Mosquitoes garden area.
Never again come to stay in the area. Everyday and nights have to deal with mosquitoes in and out door never see so many mosquitores before is like a moaquitor farm area.
This cabin is cozy and sweet. The bed is a only a full which can be snug if you are 2 full size adults and the bugs are awful. A screened in porch would be a game changer. Wanted to get the slightly negatives out of the way first.
This cabin is located on the water and is beautiful! Men come out to clams on low tide and are super sweet and will talk to you about anything. We met a great group of darts players and loved getting to know and explore the area.
We will def. be back to Yarmouth!!
The place was lovely overall there was just a few housekeeping things that could be improved on. For instance inside the cupboard door under the sink there were dishes stored there cookie sheets pizza pans that kind of thing. The cupboard is generally used for cleaning products and it's not overly clean itself especially on the inside of the doors where you would hang a tea towel for instance. I did find a cookie sheet that was dirty and put back in there so I had to clean it before I used it which made us clean everything before we used it LOL! Really enjoyed the location easy to get to once you knew the route. The dogs loved it! We would definitely stay there again.
We stayed here for a week in July 2024. Communication with owner was very good. Detailed email prior to arrival. Had to reach out once with a question and the response was very quick.
The cottage is very comfortable, well-equipped and nicely decorated. We arrived on a cool day and the interior warmed quickly with an adjustment to the thermostat. The fridge is hotel-sized with a larger than expected freezer. The freezer is a separate compartment from the fridge area. I mention the size of the fridge only because it isn't advisable to arrive with days worth of food that needs to be refrigerated.
The property has waterfront views and is located at the end of a road. There is approximately 50 to 75 feet of lawn between the cottage and the shoreline. As mentioned in other reviews, clam harvesting occurs off shore. There will be times that pickup trucks park on the edge of the shoreline while clam harvesting is underway. The men take their boats out and return approximately 5 hours later. The trucks will arrive according to the tide which means that they can arrive in the early morning (dark). We were not bothered by this and found the process to be interesting and enlightening. Harvesting clams is hard work.
Yarmouth is a 15 minute drive away. Good amenities are available there. Overall, this is a very peaceful location and we enjoyed our stay.
