Amenities were generally great. Bed comfortable; MCM chairs in living area comfortable, convertible couch not. Digital cooktop controls have a bit of a learning curve. Countertop convection oven very versatile.Unfortunately, construction at unit adjacent to patio marred our stay. Dry cutting of tile and framing lumber repeatedly covered patio and outdoor furniture with dust, rendering area unusable for duration of stay. Very frustrating considering the cost of the rental.

From the owner: "Thank you for your stay and for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the comfortable bed and several of the condo’s amenities. Unfortunately, a neighboring unit was undergoing temporary renovation work during part of your stay, which was outside of our control, though we understand how frustrating that can be. This type of construction is not typical and does not reflect the usual guest experience, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this historic property. The unit was updated and very comfortable. We weren't used to such a quiet sleeping environment, so if you need a little noise I suggest you bring a noise machine or a fan to create a little extra sound at night. We would love to come back another time. It's a special place.

Great stay for the weekend
clean, quiet, and great place to stay in palm springs.
This place is a gem. Nicely renovated and looks exactly like the pix on the app. Great location. Loved the pool and hot tub. Can’t think of one negative.
This was our second stay at Ocotillo Lodge and our first stay in this condo. We very much enjoyed the private outdoor space with comfortable furniture, a very nice grill and a great fire pit to take off the chill in the evening. The condo is nicely updated and was well stocked with the necessities for our 16 night stay. The Ocotillo Lodge grounds are very well kept and the amazing pool was on our agenda daily. Thanks to the hosts for the wine and goodies that welcomed us upon our arrival.
Very nice place. Very well equipped and decorated suite. The outdoor space was wonderful. We loved the location also. The common space is beautiful as are the views. We were completely comfortable and at home for our 4 nights and highly recommend it.

A lovely getaway
We love staying at the Ocotillo Lodge for the location, the MCM architecture and the pool. This condo provided everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The bed was comfy and the patio area was fantastic. A plus is having Elmers right across the street. The host was very responsive when we needed more towels.

PS Bungalow
The property was quiet, and I appreciated the fenced patio. Overall, the remodel was good, and the white paint in the bungalow made it feel larger than it was. The pool was great.
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed this stylish bungalow! The host had snack, wine, and a great informational booklet about Palm Springs. Thank you for all of the recommendations. We loved the patio outside with the lights and especially the hot tub right around the corner. Thanks again!
Great designed space and well-appointed. We loved the patio and the ton of light. It was quiet, comfortable and located in a place convenient to all the things we wanted to see. The history of the apartment:lodge is also very interesting. I communicated a couple of times with the local contact and she responded very promptly and helped out.
Really liked the place. Pool area was great.
We did have trouble finding the area to throw away trash. Maybe a little bit clearer directions would help.
the bungalow was a dream...loved the whole vibe of the Perry Como Suite from the furniture, to the outdoor patio and the bar inside. Only sad that the main lobby on the property was under construction while we were there. We were attending a wedding at Ace Hotel and it was such a short walk over. Loved having our own kitchen and stove for reheating leftovers or breakfast when we didn't want to go out. Only about 2.5 miles from downtown it such a great location. Elmer's across the street was perfect for breakfast and Joshua Tree National Park was just about 40 mins away. Loved everything about the property and the bungalow. Would recommend to anyone!
My husband and I had a great time staying here! The condo was stocked with everything we needed and the pool was so refreshing in the heat. It was about a 5-10 minute drive to downtown, but also felt removed enough from the crowd! My only complaints were that the gym was closed due to renovations and we were not told that in advance. The property management company also asks that you wash, dry, and put away your own dishes and take out your own trash before leaving….kind of a pain when you’re also already paying for a cleaning fee!
The condo is well situated in the Ocotillo community. The community is secured with gated access, The pool is divine, the hot tubs and all common areas are well cared for and immaculately cleaned. The gym was under construction so I cannot elaborate. The condo was very nice, the kitchen well equipped and outside area very comfortable for lounging and dining. Easy walk to the Koffi for sitting and enjoying people watching while enjoying your java. Community is quite and lovely. I stay here every year and have no complaints. Excited to get to use the remodeled gym and see the exterior refresh back to mid-century origin colors!

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
NO AIR CONDITIONING
It was between 115-120 degrees out and the air conditioning did not work. We promptly checked out and got a full refund.

Hi Jack, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
- We strive to provide our guests with a great guest experience, so we were disappointed that you had to cut your stay short. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you encountered. Unfortunately, shortly prior to your stay, we encountered some storms that resulted in damage to the AC to where it was not functioning. We have since replaced the AC to ensure future guests do not share the same experience. Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have the opportunity to host you again and provide you with the 5-star stay you truly deserve.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Pretty little gem!
We loved the condo! The decor was exactly what we were looking for- to experience the “desert modern” mcm design. Well done! Kitchen had everything! (even gold cutlery!) 🤩. Loved the fire table for cooler evenings outside. The bed was super comfy and linens were nice. Ocotillo grounds are kept pristine and the pool is warm! we could go for a run or walk thru the neighborhoods easily, very pretty.Don’t let the (now) drab front entrance with high metal security gates, scare you away-Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the same “grand” vibe as you drive up, (like it did in the 60’s) anymore. It’s too bad; as these iconic buildings are always so fun to revisit when they have been preserved to enjoy their fabulous history. Small changes would make a huge difference.Even to have the front lobby lit up at night with its beautiful chandeliers would create cache! Yes it’s a private condo owned property now; but collectively they could recreate that amazing front entrance that architect W. Krissel designed! But the rentals and the grounds, pool, inside are amazing - so you can enjoy that for sure! 🌴
Formerly was in commercial real estate for years and wanted to offer suggestions- not criticisms. Loved the decor and amenities of the inside of this condo- definitely felt the mid century mod vibe coming from snowy Chicago. The outside appearance, entrance and ricketty gates and entrances don’t do this old Hollywood glam gem justice. A “refresh” of the outside grounds is needed to capture the true beauty of this iconic place. Pool and hot tubs were great - gym not so great. I would rent out the inside of the main lobby to a restaurant or a cafe of some sort to bring the charm of it back and add some chandeliers at entrance to make it more glam and inviting instead of dismal and tired. As far as the inside of unit- I loved the furniture, comfy bed and fully stocked kitchen…. But a dishwasher is needed and a stackable washer/dryer within unit would make this place perfect. Wasn’t a fan of the small open shower and slow water pressure or the slow toilet. Definitely could be bigger.and run better. I would also suggest a swiffer as w no rugs, floors get pretty dirty and hot. The outdoor patio is awesome but w no gas left- was inconvenient and our request instantly for more was never fulfilled during our stay. Thank you for a great time- I would come back w these issues resolved. Thank you!
It's a little hard to review the property because we were never actually able to stay there. Less than 24 hours before we were scheduled to arrive, the management company called and told us the A/C unit in the bungalow wasn't working and they were canceling our reservation. No other options--not suggesting another property they manage, not offering to find us a hotel while the unit was repaired. Just, "oh well, you can get your money back or reschedule for another date." When we asked about switching to any other property in the area that they manage, they said they couldn't because it was less than 24-hours (?!). We understand that things happen; but good customer service is about providing solutions when something goes wrong. What would they have done if we arrived and the A/C unit broke while we were there? The owners need to consider finding another management company unless they want to keep angering potential customers. We come to PS frequently and often stay in the same community as this listing; but we would never consider renting this property again so long as they have the same management company.

Hi Michael, we understand how frustrating it must have been to have your plans disrupted so close to your scheduled arrival. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:"I’m deeply sorry about the late hour cancellation. I did everything I could with the repair company to get the A/C repaired in time, but they couldn’t get the part in time for your scheduled check-in. I was unaware that you were not offered any other accommodations for the same time period within Evolve’s network. It seems like a huge fail, and I understand your frustration with the management company. Please accept my sincere apologies!"We strive to provide excellent customer service and are actively working to prevent situations like this in the future. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope that you consider staying with us again under better circumstances.
