This cottage offers plenty of privacy. Guests enjoy easy access to the lake via a brief 30-second walk through the rear property path, perfect for canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding (included), and leads directly to a private dock that is removed for the winter on October 15th. The pathway behind your property serves as a communal access point to the lake, owned by the province and intended for shared use by all residents. The blue arrows you mentioned indicate the boundaries of this land, while the blue flagging on trees by other property owners suggests efforts to protect their private property and discourage trespassing. It's important to respect these boundaries and the communal nature of the reserve land to ensure that everyone can enjoy access to the lake without conflicts.
We refresh our interior decor with the changing seasons, as each period brings its unique charm and aesthetic. For Spring/Summer, incorporating light colors and natural elements, while Fall can invite warmer tones and cozy accents like throws and pumpkins. For Christmas/Winter, creating a festive atmosphere with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and seasonal ornaments brings warmth and joy to our home. Embracing these seasonal changes enhances the overall ambiance and keeps our living space feeling fresh and inviting.
What to do?
To fully enjoy the beauty of nature throughout the seasons, you can engage in a variety of activities: In the fall, embrace the changing foliage with walks, canoeing, hot chocolate, and cozy bonfires. Winter offers ice fishing, snowmobiling, and warm gatherings by the fireplace. In summer, take advantage of canoeing, kayaking, and farmers markets, but be aware that the lake may not always be suitable for swimming due to potential blue-green algae; it remains a fantastic spot for boating and paddling. For swimming, beautiful day-use beaches are located in nearby Seba and Kawapaskin. GORGEUS Pembina River Provincial Park 17 min away, and there is Pembina river Tubing, Entwistle Outdoor Pool located 16 minutes away! Guest access
Guests are welcome to use the entire home during their stay; however, please note that the garage and mechanical room are off-limits for guest access.

You were a wonderful guest thank you for the kind words :-)
We had a wonderful stay at Agata’s cabin! Her communication was excellent from start to finish and she provided all the information we needed before our arrival, making everything seamless. The cabin was exactly what we were hoping for in a lakeside getaway—scenic, spotless, cozy, and stocked with everything we could need. Being just steps from the lake meant we were treated to beautiful sunsets each evening, and we loved ending our days around the backyard fire pit, relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would absolutely recommend Agata’s cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable lake escape!

Great cabin with everything you need. Stocked with all the essentials and more, was very clean and cared for. Communicating with the host was easy and always got a reply in a very timely manner. Lovely fireplace to curl up around on a cold night. We will be returning again for another stay. Thank you Agata

Thank you for the kind words, and thank you for being a wonderful guest. We hope to host you again in the future, and we welcome you back.
Very quiet cottage area near the lake. Sadly there was algae on the lake so we did not get to enjoy going into the lake and it did not look like a swimming area - which was the main reason we went up to this area. The cabin itself met our needs with living space, beautiful bathroom, and several seating areas in and out side. The stairs to the loft are extremely steep - our teenagers were able to use them fine but not good for older adults or younger children.

Thank you for your kind words about our cabin, and it meeting your needs. You were wonderful to host. It did rain during your entire stay, and it does make it hard to swim it also makes the water appear more murky. As mentioned in our messages there is no algae reports on the Alberta health site for Lake Isle. That said all Alberta lakes get algae at some point in the year unfortunately, Mother Nature does some wild things. Thank you for being a wonderful guest and leaving the place so tidy. Safe travels home.
We selected this property on the basis of using the jet tub. The hot water on demand is not functioning properly. I am experienced in hot water on demand, and you should not run out of hot water. The tub was 3 inches full and we did not have hot water again for several hours. The throw pillows on the master bed were covered in hair, human and pet hair.

I’m sorry to just learn of your experience, this home is on well water as advertised, and there is hot water on demand boiler system which gives the initial hot water its stored in the boiler again it’s a cottage and does not have unlimited water. I haven’t had a review such as this in the past, and if we have guests whom do have issues they reach out directly so we can correct it. A 2 star review without any mention of any issues during your stay or the option or opportunity to correct is very saddening considering I allowed you to stay when you listed your name as “Nitram Unspesified, I wish we had been offered to opportunity to change out the pillow cases for you during your stay(if what you say is true), as for the water it is very much advertised that back to back bathing or excessive water use will cause the hot water to run it - this is a cottage I do not hide this information from our guests.
But again, apologize for your experience as we thrive for everyone to have a good experience.
All pillow covers and ALL bedding is changed between all guests, including pillow covers duvet covers fitted sheets and throw pillows. The throw pillows are silk which would be hard to capture human hair or pet hair.
We really treat our guests well by including free of charge use of kayaks canoe paddle board wood supplies etc including coffee all toiletries, and we know our competition does not do this and charges more. Hope your next experience is better.
Extremely unsafe property for families. The stairs to the loft are an illegal 60-degree pitch (essentially a ladder) and caused my children and dog to fall. The backup pull-out couch was broken and heavily soiled/stained. The washing machine is full of dark debris and had a foul musty odor.Interior doors do not close or lock (including the main bathroom) and the Wi-Fi didnt work for the duration of our trip. Furthermore, the host actively encouraged us to use lake watercraft despite an active Alberta Health Services toxic blue-green algae advisory. We chose this property specifically for the lake and private dock amenities/watercrafts, and the toxic algae advisory was issued after our initial booking. We found out only after my husband slipped off the paddleboard into the lake and I googled the green slime he was covered in. The host was hostile and rude and threatened harassment and trespassing charges after I brought up my concerns. The path to the dock has steep inclines and is full of large tree roots that make it difficult for small children to hike. The hot water is from a well and will absolutely not give you enough for a bath - after being away all day and returning we tried to run a bath and the hot water didnt even make it to the jets before it was ice cold. The swing was great - hands down our favourite thing about this place. Dont forget mosquito spray though!

Despite numerous attempts to work with the guest, she had proven to be very difficult. Including bringing up concerns while I offered many resolutions, they were all declined. Our rustic cabin was built in 2007 and to code, a thorough inspection by third party was completed and proved the opinions of the guest incorrect. After numerous attempts the guest began to blackmail and harass the owner, when offering refund for remaining unused nights the guest declined and stated they will complete their stay, and then demand a refund. If safety was priority guest would have left. Additionally, the property is not misleading as per photos and the stairs are clearly described. The rustic cabin does run on well water as stated. The description also clearly states blue green algae may occur and become unswimmable. You will however see the locals swimming and doing water sports even with the algae. I encourage ALL guests to check the status of the lake within the permitted cancellation window and make a decision to fulfil their reservation or cancel. I also encourage all future guests to read my reviews from previous stays, that show not everyone is this difficult. As a host I also prioritize my safety and my cleaners and in this situation with this guest the steps taken were necessary to protect property and people.
The hosts were very quick to reply to any questions/requests, even dropping off an extension cord we requested. A tree had fallen over across the dock, but the owners removed it within a couple hours. Using the kayaks was one of the main reasons we rented the place, so we really appreciated how quickly they provided access to the dock. It takes less than a minute to walk along the trail from the cabin to the dock. Life jackets are even provided. The kitchen is very well stocked of small appliances, utensils, food wrap, etc. There is nothing that we wished we would have brought in that regard. You will have to bring some food staples, such as sugar, salt and pepper, olive oil for cooking, etc. The stairs to the bedroom upstairs are steep, but nothing that an able-bodied person can't handle. I am 55, and I slept upstairs. Going down them backwards is the easiest. There is a two piece bathroom upstairs, so that is very helpful in the middle of the night! Lots of places to eat in the area. We were there for a short time so we only ate out twice. Pineridge Golf Course has excellent food and deck, and The Iron Lady Saloon in Gainford has excellent food too and even has live bands sometimes. Both places are within a 5-10 min drive from the cabin. The only thing that could have been better/changed - and this is SO minor - were the fans. The main floor one is a large contractor fan, so SUPER loud, and the upstairs one provides almost no air flow. Other than that, this house is GREAT!

Thank you for the kind words and through review :-) we’re always happy to accommodate our guests, even with requests during their stay! I’m glad the dock was available quickly after the concern ! You were a wonderful guest and welcome back again anytime :-)
Property was beautiful and offered everything needed in a lake property. Even though it was hot the property offered shaded, cooler areas. Host was very responsive.
Amazing place..!! My Wife and I had a great time. Very clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Lake was great, caught a few pike, and decent paths for taking long walks with my dog.
The location was perfect, a short walk to the water with beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. The cabin was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. A great spot to relax and unwind.

We had such a wonderful stay! The room was very clean and comfortable, the staircase leading up to top bedroom is a bit steep but the young adults could manage it! The host was welcoming and easy to communicate with. We especially loved the beautiful lake view and the provided kayak’s were a huge hit —it made our mornings and evenings so peaceful. It was also a huge plus that the place was pet-friendly! Overall, a great spot for a relaxing getaway, and we’d definitely come back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. Everything we needed was provided. Even the firewood was split, which I appreciated the most - all I had to do was the kindling. The place had a great view of the lake and the sunsets from the private dock were spectacular. Our grandchildren had a lot of fun and the grandparents really enjoyed the evenings relaxing by the fire.
