This is an amazing lake facing cottage with amazing maple trees surrounding the property. The view from the property in fall is so breathtaking. Is a hidden gem and the owners are very active and helpful
The property came as advertised. The dock and lake were a favourite area for some relief from the heat. Convenient location to local spots. Kitchen and eating area was great for large groups. Bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. We hope we can return in 2027.
Had a great girls trip to this cottage! The cottage was nice and clean and had plenty of space for the 12 of us. The hosts responded promptly to any communication and were overall great to deal with. Would definitely come here again!

We had a lovely stay and the hosts were great and responsive. Good amount of space for a bigger group. If you’re going in the winter, do NOT go all the way down the driveway. You will have issues getting your car back up as it’s narrow and you have to reverse. We wish the hosts told us about this before we arrived but otherwise, we had a great stay.

Hey Surina, thank you for your review. As you’re aware, during the winter season up north can be affected by the ever changing weather conditions. Such as during your stay, snow can freeze due to weather conditions, which reasonably can cause certain vehicles to have trouble getting up a driveway. The width of driveway fits two vehicles at a time as you experienced and is a circular driveway that can be utilized if chosen. We had plowed the driveway prior to your stay but sometimes depending on the vehicle and factors that are not in our control including snow and ice that develop during a stay can have foreseeable trouble if not reasonably equipped for weather conditions. We did recommend certain vehicles that have possible issues to stay on top of driveway and I am happy your guests did indeed use that recommendation. Nonetheless, I am happy we were able to walk your guests through Mother Nature. We hope you enjoyed your courtesy late checkout and complimentary wine to bring in the new year!
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The home is fully equipped with everything you need and the view of the lake is beautiful. The hosts were great with communication and when we had a minor problem with the dishwasher they were quick to act and also extended our checkout time. We highly recommend this home as a great getaway!

Pleasure was ours. You and your family were great guests and we welcome you guys back anytime!
A great holiday. Easy to reach host if questions. Lay-out of cottage is amazing. Beach is good. Large dock can hold chairs for 10 people. Grandson ,4, caught rock bass right off dock. Quiet lake with much of it as treed shoreline. Plenty of equipment for kids like paddle boards, canoe, foosball ping pong. Nice deck to sit on with plenty of chairs. A pleasant stay.
Had a great stay at Boho Lakehouse. Was plenty of room for our mixed generation and family of 12. Great quiet lake and close to Parry Sound and Port Carling for grocery runs or lunch spots. We do love to cook as a family and had to bring and supplement what was provided in the kitchen - including large pots and skillets, additional cooking utensils, cutting boards, and spices. But Ross was able to send pictures ahead of time so we knew what to bring. If you like to cook definitely consider bringing your own items and you won’t be disappointed. For those sleeping in the basement make sure to bring long pants and sweatshirts because it is very chilly - no problem for us and the kids that stayed down there. Overall great stay and would highly recommend!
Our family had a fun time at this beautiful cottage. We made good use of the watercraft available and enjoyed soaking up the sun on the dock. Our grandsons especially loved the fooseball table and pinpong table. There were even girl toys that our granddaughter played with. We have a large family so it was a challenge trying to fit refrigerated items in the one kitchen frig. Availability of a bar frig would have been a help. Towels are provided which is great but explaining on the cottage website where they can be found in the house would be a help. Overall this cottage is a very good location for a large gathering or family vacation. Ross was an excellent host answering inquiries promptly.
First of all, Ross and Manelli are wonderful. Very professional, and friendly. They ensured we'd have a great stay through their detailed brochures and check-in requirements/process. Any questions we had were answered promptly.
The property itself is simply wonderful. You can tell it's a home they care for deeply, so it feels even nicer knowing they're willing to welcome you into it. There is everything you could ever need for a cottage stay with good people. Foosball table, board games, comfy mattresses (and many of them too), dock with a serene view, well stocked kitchen, and the list goes on.
We had a great time here, loved the place, and all agreed that we'd easily come back here in the summer (we visited during Christmas holidays) if opportunity works out.
Thank you Ross and Manelli for welcoming us, and opening your family getaway for other families to enjoy as well =)

This property was unfortunately oversold and did not meet our expectations, particularly regarding cleanliness. Our group noticed a lack of basic supplies-there weren't enough towels or glasses, there were no blue bins for recyclables, and the green bin on-site contained garbage. The grounds also had scattered litter. The driveway was steep and riddled with potholes, and the deck was in serious need of repair. This was disappointing given the owner's description of themselves as "zen travelers" who cherish and the love the space. The promotional materials were far more inviting than the actual property. As a long-time VRBO traveler who has stayed in properties around the world, I feel guests should be given an accurate picture upfront. My suggestion: put the same care and “TLC” you speak of in your pamphlet into the property itself-it would make the experience far more aligned with what’s advertised. Even reinvesting the revenue from one week's rental into upkeep and repairs would make a world of difference.

Thank you for your feedback. As a host, we have had the pleasure to host many guests over the years. We pride ourselves on our client experience and we have been fortunate to have great feedback and are sorry you felt this way. Cleanliness has been our biggest strength along with communication and our cleaners provided photos of the premises once property was ready that demonstrated the cleanliness, which we offered to share.
We also asked you to provide photos of areas that were of concern and also offered to have a cleaner come and address any areas of concern but didn’t hear back for the whole stay.
We provide our guests with a whole closet of extra linens and provide complimentary items in our kitchen along with supplies the meet the amount of people that are to stay.
As this area is not serviced by the municipality. As I had explained, we leave a temporary bin outside for our guests to use as they’re responsible to dispose their waste once they check-out. The color of the bin is not material as it’s not used for service. The cleaner checks the bin to ensure it is clean and did for your stay. Unfortunately, we did notice additional items in bottom of bin after your stay and saw that items were put in bin before your check-out.
Although, I don’t agree this being accurate and fair feedback, we have noted your concerns. We do paint our deck every couple years and this particular year was a very rough winter and intend to repaint our deck for next season.
This property is an excellent choice for a large family celebration. The host was very easy to contact and responsive to our questions and concerns. The cottage is well equipped, well decorated and located on a small peaceful lake. It is not a serious fisherman's lake!
We had a wonderful family reunion at the cottage with relatives visiting from Australia. The weather was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The cottage was a great place to relax and spend quality time together. Our only suggestions would be to provide more full-sized cutlery for adults, as there wasn’t enough for a larger group and to replace the broken deck chairs. Other than that, we had a great stay and would happily recommend it.

The host promptly replied when we had concerns and was sympathetic. However, we had to resolve some problems ourselves. Generally, the inside of the house was OK but the outside areas gave the impression they had been neglected for some time. The paint was peeling off in some areas and the balcony off the upstairs bedroom was unusable with cracked railing, much peeling paint, and very dirty Muskoka chairs. The soft outside furniture was soaking wet because the protective plastic sheet did not fit well and had holes. The area around the firepit was a mess with saw and axe not stored away, two of the Muskoka chairs broken and the shed near the fire pit smelling of gasoline from a recent spill. There was was only one oar for the two-man canoe and the canoe was not stored on the deck as required. The most significant deficiency was the state of the paddle boat. It was not stored on the deck as required but was wedged up against the shore in the water. It was full of dirty water and algae and had been that way for a while. We moved it to the deck and cleaned it. only to find the rudder mechanism was broken and it could not be used. As we hoped to enjoy the outdoors while at the cottage, including fishing on the lake, these problems were disappointing. We have rented four cottages in Muskoka and this one needed much work on the outside areas to be brought up to the standard we have come to expect.
