Sustainable retreat on 20 acres of lake hillside

A private elevated holiday stay with picturesque views. With four bedrooms and sleeping for 10. You also have access to all 20 acres of hillside fields. With two fire places and plenty of free fire wood you'll be nice and cosy. Your holiday will be fully sustainable with ample solar, off grid power and rain water systems. Technology includes air-conditioning, high speed internet, high quality hifi system and pool table/table tennis. Bring your boat, launch is nearby. Pub is 5 min drive.

Paradise on the hill.

We stayed for 6 nights at this beautifully located home.Nestled on a hill with an amazing view.All our needs were catered for,including 2 fireplaces,pantry was well stocked,same with the fridge.Plenty of beds for large family too.Pool table,table tennis,board games....Would definitely recommend, we will return and enjoy again sometime.Thank you to the host.

How's the serenity?

The views were phenomenal! It was such a lovely stay, the property has everything that we needed and then some. It could do with a bit of a reno though as it's quite vintage and the bunk beds weren't comfortable however those are some minor issues that we easily overcame! Fantastic property and a short car ride from everything!

I really liked the place! The sunsets from the balcony overlooking the lake were amazing. We had a great time playing board games, pool, and table tennis. All the facilities were top-notch. Communicating with the host was a breeze. Definitely want to come back!

Peaceful, Well-Equipped Retreat Close to Mt Buller

We had an absolutely amazing time at this sustainable retreat in Bonnie Doon. Nestled on a peaceful hillside overlooking the lake, the property offered the perfect escape from the busy everyday life.The owner was incredibly warm, friendly, and easy to communicate with — from booking to check-out, everything felt smooth and welcoming. You can really tell they’ve put love and care into creating a relaxing space for guests.The retreat had everything we needed to feel right at home — a fully equipped kitchen, a fantastic BBQ area, and plenty of thoughtful touches that made our stay both comfortable and fun. Whether we were relaxing indoors or soaking up the natural surroundings, we felt completely recharged.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet nature escape with all the right comforts — and perfect if you’re planning a visit to Mt Buller too!

Nice break in Bonnie Doon

Overall a great stay. House had all the requirements for a great week. Only issue was the driveway to the property, getting a larger trailer up the drive and down again wasn’t great. Perhaps that should be advised on the add.

Why they chose this property

You can enjoy this property all year round as the lake is very close to our house and the Bullar mountain is also 45 mins drive from our house if you like to ski. There is something for everyone around the property.

What makes this property unique

Because our house is on top of the hill we get the best views. The sunset views are incredible and stargazing at night is just magical
