While visiting Highlands, we stayed the weekend with our 3 adult sons and daughter-in-law. There were six of us. This is an old but charming home. The bedrooms were spacious. The living room needed more seating to accommodate all of us. The kitchen was somewhat lacking and we had to wash things before using them because they weren't clean. The deck is nice and the back yard is beautiful. It was nice to hear the babbling creek off in the distance as well as the church bells. The grill should be tossed and replaced with a new one. It was old and really dirty. The collected grease in the bottom literally caught on fire after my husband turned it on. Thankfully the flames died down and didn't catch the house on fire. I sent an email after our stay to notify the manager, but I never heard back from anyone. Overall it was a nice place to eat dinner and lay our heads after hiking and chasing water falls in Highlands.

Loved this house! 8 adults all family ! Lots of room with a bedroom for each couple!! An upper main level and lower level. Very clean and convenient to our wedding venue at High Holly Vineyards! Would be good for a family with children also

Family Thanksgiving get away

Overall a great place to stay. We had 7 adults plus little ones with us. The bedrooms were great for the number of people we had. I would say my only complaint would be the seating- there was not a table big enough to seat everyone for dinner and the living room seating- both upstairs and down - did not have enough in number or in comfort. Everyone enjoyed the property though and the proximity to Highlands and surrounding waterfalls.

Cute house. Three very nice bedrooms. The fourth one is a bunk room without windows. Our one issue was that the kitchen had ants. That happens in the summer but it was still off-putting. When I contacted the host they said they would address it. Other than that, I would stay there again.

Golf trip

Went with a few friends for a golf trip. House was in great location. Just a couple minor issues. The kitchen is very small and the accessories for cooking could use an update. The biggest issue was the grill they have. It is not only cheap, small and dirty, but it is a fire hazard. Owners really should upgrade that. Would stay here again.
