It is indeed a fabulous villa with all the amenities one could ever dream of including spectacular views & property location. While we are not in control of the Montage Resort's public spaces/services, i.e.: reception, valet parking, food/beverage and pool services etc. we do take pride in PPV staff's high standards of service & efficiency within our privately managed villas. On behalf of the entire team at Private Paradise Villas on Maui, the property manager and rental agent for 2203 Ocean Dreams Villa at Montage Kapalua Bay, we wish to thank Jenn K. and her family for their patronage, for their time and concern to share their thoughts about their stay, and for the many positive comments they shared about this accommodation. Please allow us to share some information about the conditions mentioned in this review as a matter of follow up. We would like all potential guests to see that we take guest feedback seriously and that we always look at any operations glitches with the intent to prevent them from happening again in the future. Upon departure, we thoroughly investigated each condition mentioned in this review. The washer and dryer were working fine prior to arrival. We know this because they were used to launder linens before this rental arrival. Nonetheless, we offered to have personal laundry done for guest while we looked into what the issue may be. We had an appliance firm check the machine and there was nothing wrong with it except the door needed an extra little push to close and latch depending on how it was handled. The door could have been damaged during this visit. We ordered a new latch at the property owner's expense. It has been working fine ever since. We had an appliance service person examine the oven which was reported as not working. The oven has a panel that can be rotated by design. The repair service found that the oven was working fine, just that someone had shifted the panel, and unless the panel is in the right position it won't operate. On Christmas eve and again on 12/26 we visited the apartment and found oven was working fine. We determined that the chef was not taking time to use the oven properly and he was pressing too many buttons at one time. A bedroom ceiling fan went wonky but was repaired by engineering within 24 hours. We don't have knowledge of AC problems, but the doors and windows must be closed to operate. I'd like to point out the many other 5 star guest comments from before and after this stay, as testimony to the 5-star standards we continuously strive to accomplish. We hope that other potential guests will grant us the benefit of doubt and will select 2203 Ocean Dreams Villa for their future vacations, as it really is an absolutely beautiful accommodation that is stocked and thoughtfully established as a top-tier 5-star home away from home.
