Great location with direct access to the lake.Didn’t have any low/cosy lighting throughout the property. No outdoor table, only chairs.Cleanliness needs to be improved, especially after pets having stayed at the property.
Beautiful spot on a quiet and secluded lake. Host was wonderful and helpful, check in process nice and easy. Kitchen and bathroom were very clean. Had a great stay!
The cabin is secluded as in you can’t see your neighbors and right on the water. Lake Ainslie is beautiful lake! The cabin is small but comfortable and well-stocked with everything you’d need. Comfy beds, plenty of towels and a nice shower with plenty of hot water. The owner responded quickly when I had a question. Overall very satisfied with our stay!
Great spot. Beautiful view of trees and lake. Really secluded which I like. Kris is great to deal with - good communication. The cottage set-up is nice. Kris has it very, very well stocked. The water smells like sulphur which I believe is unavoidable due to the demands of water supply in that location. We just used bottled water and that was fine, no problem. A few lamps would be nice rather than just having the option of stark, overhead lighting. Maybe a standing one for the living/dining room and one on each of the bedroom's bedside tables. I was happy with our stay there. Thanks, Kris!

Isolate and quiet
Isolate and quiet with an access to the lake. Beautiful sunset and place the take a cup of wine. All the furnitures is pretty new. Expect provisions, groceries store , dinner and other isn't close. Enjoy the BBQ, and for kids the wifi network is excellent.
We had a wonderful stay at your cottage Kris. It is isolated from neighbours and very peaceful. Trees in blossom surrounding the area were beautiful. We had a Mallard Duck family at the shoreline and videod a deer that happened by on the front yard. It is located near enough to Inverness and other communities which we enjoyed visiting, i.e. Inverness Beach, lunch at the Coal Miners Cafe, etc. For the most part, you have all of the amenities you need in a cottage, with all new appliances. The shoreline directly in front was a bit difficult but we took your advice and entered at the lowest point of the property. The internet service was a challenge and we appreciate you working with us on that; I know you'll have it set up for your next guests.
Many thanks; we would definitely stay again.
Helen.
Perfect place for family, right on the lake. Close enough to town and golf course. Great stay!

It was a cute cabin, but too remote for us. The bedding, kitchen & bathroom themselves were clean. But we left after one night due to being uncomfortable after seeing how dirty the bathroom door was, inside and out. And a health risk, was to find the coffee filter with old and very mouldy coffee in it.
Excellent location for exploring the Cabot Trail.Very private and nice lakefront setting for sunrises.Cottage had all the basic necessities and was dog friendly.
Beautiful spot, very peaceful and just a few steps to the lake - kids loved swimming in it Host was excellent to deal with - looking forward to going back again
We stayed at this property for 3 nights. Cheaper than staying along the loop and right on the water. The beds were comfortable, has all convenient amenities and a cute market not too far away. Only negative was the swarm of lady bugs inside. We would tidy up then have another one come on the counter, land on a glass etc shortly after - looked like a hive hatched in a window. I would also recommend a small bridge or planks along the one section of driveway at the bottom of the hill. All in all - we would stay again if we are back in the area!
The house was quite nice overall. A little disappointing that the woodstove didn't work, especially as the weather was cool and wet. The water is quite soft, but tastes good; and the water heater works fine. We spent a chilly first night as the baseboard heaters were set to 10C (50F), and the control buttons are really tiny and hard to notice. A heads up from the owner would have been helpful. It was plenty warm once I found the controls. The setting is beautiful, and the stairs down to the lake are sturdy and look less than a year old.
The biggest drawback was that the linens were washed in scented detergent and dryer sheets. It gave the bedrooms an old hotel smell they didn't need. I found it hard to sleep until the scent dissipated.
Had a great weekend and enjoyed the private beach area, BBQ and fire pit. Nice quiet and secluded spot, and worked well as a base to tour around Cape Breton during the day to see Louisbourg and whale watching.
Our stay was great. Very relaxing. Had all the "comfort amenities" (stove, laundry, ac, wifi etc). Kris was awesome and had outstanding communication. He messaged us to make sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.
What a wonderful spot to get away from it all. This cottage is in a very private location. It has a good bit of land for outdoor activities. A new set of stairs leads down to the waterfront. The cottage itself is rustic with modern amenities. The kitchen is clean and well stocked with cookware. There are also ample supplies for cleaning and personal hygiene. Host Kris was easily reached by phone for any questions. Shopping is available in Whycocomagh which is 15 minute drive. Inverness beach is also close by and well worth a visit.
I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a private getaway with lots of space and a great view.
Beautifully located on Lake Ainsley. Steep walk down to shoreline, shallow entrance to the lake, perfect to use waders for fishing. Had lots of fun fishing in this lake and in the Whycocomagh area only 15min away.Tranquile and private setting. Lots of apples trees lining the driveway and mature birch, poplars and maple trees. Rabbits and many birds came to visit :)
We really enjoy this property. It sits on a beautiful (huge) lake and has amazing sunrises and sunsets. The cottage itself is very comfortable and privatr
If you want to recharge or reset your mind with the bliss of solitude, this is the place for you. Amazing scenery, peaceful and quiet, nice and clean. All the comforts of home included, plus amenities within 20 minutes if restock is needed. We had an amazing week and will definitley be returning.
