Great Cozy Getaway

We spent a very enjoyable 5 days at this comfortable, well equipped beach house. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals for us and our 2 adult children. The views of the lake from the patio and gazebo were superb and the stairs to the beach relatively easy. Once at the lake the beach was excellent for long walks. We highly recommend Bedrock.

Cottage is well laid out , and very cozy!Very well equipped with dishes , and kitchen utensils. The charm of the exterior stone is well matched to the interior. It has a happy feel .There was bird seed supplied to feed the birds and squirrels. It felt like home .The host was very responsive to any questions and certainly made us feel welcome

Felt very welcomed by the hostesses, even a treat for our dog! The cottage was perfect for us, and had everything we needed. Full kitchen and even ice! A perfect Lake Huron sunset topped off our experience.

Cottage and grounds were fabulous! Very clean with numerous amenities. (eg. hot tub, games, BBQ, change room, gazebo) Welcome gift was a nice touch. Communication with host was flawless. Peaceful. Quiet. Stunning sunsets!Be aware that water levels alter from summer to summer, so check with host to confirm how wide/narrow the beach is; as well as how rocky. During our stay the beach was completely covered by rocks. If you have young children wanting to play in sand or adults desiring long walks at lakeside this location may not suit your needs.

This was the perfect place to relax. From the back porch, the bird songs and sounds of the waves were delightful. We fed chipmunks and squirrels peanuts, paddle boarded for hours, and soothed our tired muscles in the hot tub. The living space and kitchen were cozy and comfortable and we lacked nothing for meal preparation and entertainment. Jennifer was super responsive and such a great host. The four of us are refreshed and invigorated after this vacation with all the fresh air, paddle boarding, swimming, excellent Bayfield food, and brilliant sunsets by the fire pit. We hope to return in the future!

Cozy Cottage

Very clean property, with simple check in. The host was quick to respond and easy to deal with. In the listing access to the lake could have been more descriptive. Getting to the lake could be a challenge for an older couple or a person with disability issues. The climb down could be a challenge as it was steep and the path was uneven. I only went down twice during the week because of the access. There isn't a lot the owner can do about it, but it would have fit in my decision making process if I had known. The cottage itself is basic but clean. All the items I needed for the stay were there. The beds and couches were comfortable and the bar b q worked great and there plenty of toys and games available. The one negative about the cottage is that it is dark inside. The dark film they had on the large window overlooking the lake made it seem dark and dreary outside, even on a beautiful sunny morning. I realize it was to keep the room cooler in the summer, but there are better options. Maybe blinds. And all the other windows had frosting on them which also made the cottage dark.

Cozy welcoming cottage

Such a welcoming, warm, cozy & updated cottage. The gorgeous view, hot-tub and fireplace made this rainy spring weekend a joyful stay. The hostesses even left a gift of flowers for my special birthday!

Great Character

Very cute cottage with great sunset views. Cozy fireplace for those cold winter nights. Cottage was very clean and well stocked, made for a relaxing getaway. Definitely going back again.

Birds, sunsets and steamy weather

We had the most incredibly relaxing time at Bedrock Beach House. The gardens were beautiful, and the rabbit and birdwatching was amazing! The cottage was so well appointed with everything you would need from kitchen utensils to indoor and outdoor games. Jennifer was so helpful with recommendations in the area and was very responsive when we had a couple of questions. I would highly recommend spending a lazy week at this cute cottage on Lake Huron!

Perfect Couple Getaway

From the moment you walk in the cottage with the mood lighting and soft music to the last sunset this was by far the most fabulous vacation we have had. It had everything you could possibly need and the Cottage Stays staff was so attentive and accommodating. The place was clean, tidy and organized and they also prepared a perfectly crafted guide book to refer to with information/instructions about the cottage itself, along with some amazing suggestions of local spots for shopping, restaurants, activities, etc. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning to Cottage Stays.

My wife and I stayed at Bedrock for a quick weekend getaway, and we cannot say enough great things about this unique cool little cottage The cottage itself has everything you need. The hot tub is an amazing perk, and the waterfront location is top-notch. We caught an amazing sunset one evening You are very close to the village and grocery stores We cannot wait to come back for an extended stay!
