Really well thought out rental. Good kitchen equipment. Good AC. Comfortable beds. Good spaces to relax sleep and work in. Good location. Keene is a very enjoyable town.
The home is beautiful, clean and has all you need. It’s very comfortable and spacious. We love how it’s been beautifully restored. The location is great! It’s a nice quiet area and very close to Keene center. A real gem!
We had a great stay. The apartment was very comfortable and well stocked. The neighborhood is quiet and an easy walk right into the downtown square. Would absolutely stay again!

Another Excellent Stay in Keene.
Very homey and comfortable accomodations with everything you need for a great stay. Quiet, and excellent location. Walk to restaurants and shopping.
This property was just as expected and Close to top notch restaurants. Kitchen was well equipped and I was able to bake a few casseroles for our family we were visiting. The area was nice and quiet.
Will visit again.
We enjoyed our long weekend visit to Keene, NH and appreciated Hidden Gem. It was great to have such a well equipped kitchen for cooking together with fresh local foods from the nearby Monadnock Co-op. Hidden Gem was very clean and comfortable. We had 11 inches of snow overnight and the porch steps, sidewalk and driveway were cleared for us early so we could make our plane on time. Our host Sarah was helpful with any questions and needs. We would love to stay again when our travels take us back to Keene!
Place is great! Pricing is deceiving…fees were double the actual rent. Small ramp from kitchen to living room is dangerous!

Response from VrboOwner on 10 January 2024
From the owner: "Dear Susan, We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Just a note on the fees, we do our best to provide a fair, living wage to our cleaning service provider. On two-night stays, that fee can seem high compared to our very reasonable rate for a 2 bedroom apartment. We hope you understand."
My husband and I enjoyed staying in this beautifully remodeled and updated apartment. I loved how they carefully preserved the original wood floor and old furnace grate, and magically incorporated an updated kitchen into the New England charm. Located on a quiet street, this apartment was incredibly clean and well-stocked. We especially appreciated the touch lamps with USB outlets and the auto-on lights in the closets.
We traveled from several states away and wanted an extra bedroom and not too many stairs for our local loved one to have the choice to stay over. This worked out very well. There were so many thoughtful touches to this beautifully renovated 1890 home in a quiet middle class neighborhood. We would love to sit on the porch in warmer weather and walk to the town square. We felt close to everything and wish we could have seen the cat that sometimes visits the porch. Great lighting and pretty colors throughout. Great shower. Comfy firm beds.

Adorable spacious apartment with all the touches
We loved experiencing the amazing renovations to this 1890 home in a middle class neighborhood close to everything, especially the co-op and downtown. The kitchen is unique and had everything we needed and more -- you will spend time gathering around the beautiful wood table. Love all the natural wood and exposed brick. Lovely adjustable lighting and plenty of plugs. Beds were very comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood for sleeping too. Nice to have the extra bedroom for our local family member. We usually stay at a hotel, and this was much homier. I wish we had seen the neighbor's cat, lol, and that we could have stayed longer.

Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
NO A/C EVEN THOUGH IT'S A LISTED AMENITY. Unresponsive host. Uncomfortable bedding. Noisy plumbing throughout the night. A hot and miserable stay. DO NOT STAY HERE.It was June in New Hampshire, the daytime temperatures were in the high 80's and there was no air conditioning. We called the management company but they said call the host. We all Sarah and left a voicemail. I sent her message on the VRBO app. NOTHING. Radio silence. It was hot and humid for most of the stay. Thankfully one day had thunderstorms so it was just humid....The bed in the front room is one of the hardest mattresses I've ever been on. And the pillows on the bed were so hard they gave me a neckache. There were no extra blankets to cushion the mattress and wound up using pillows off of the couch. AND...the other unit in this old house has a leaky toilet - ever 2-3 minutes water would run to refill the tank (this is my guess). The sound of water through those pipes in the dead of night was so loud that I couldn't sleep. We are never staying at any property owned this host ever again. VRBO needs to do something about hosts that list amenities like A/C but don't actually provide it.As an added bonus, we had to do chores before we left (wash the dishes, strip the beds, take out the trash) - WHY ARE WE PAYING A CLEANING FEE????
