Don't waste your money, this place is really bad
DO NOT Rent this place, every motel in Montrose is better.
IF I could have checked out after ONE night, got a refund I would have left.
1. This is NOT a Victorian building, it’s a 1915 worn out building with new paint inside and cheap cabinets.
2. It’s not Quiet, Comfortable, Charming or convenient
3. The BUSIEST 4 lane road is next to this place, sleeping is a challenge and even a normal conversation in the living room is hard. (24/7 road noise – Tractor/Trailers and everything else)
4. There are 17 EXTREMELY creaky stairs to get to the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms, watch your head going down them. (not fun carrying everything up/down these stairs)
5. Living room has a cheap sectional sitting on the floor.
6. They say not to use the only lamp(halogen) for to long because it gets hot.
7. No thermostat for the heat, so IF it gets to warm turn on the noisy AC units.
8. No dishwasher, they didn’t even provide dish soap or dish cleaning supplies.
9. No exhaust fan in the bathroom, all the windows are painted or sealed shut
10. Outlets marked do not use with electrical burn marks.
11. Lamp in main bedroom didn’t work – it had a melted shade, obvious over wattage.
12. Looks like there is a camera in the living room, no idea IF it was recording or not.
WE are very upset and dissatisfied with this property, it definitely ruined our vacation.
