About the host
Hosted by Hyman Weisbord
I love the outdoors. I call it, " Living under a high ceiling."
The Tree House is in the forest, hence the name.
And even indoors here, the outside is in what with all the windows and it's own " high ceiling."
We'd be delighted to welcome you.

Why they chose this property
Actually, I built the original structure, a 24 foot ferro-cement geodesic dome.
It's still there and serves as the dining area , high, bright and airy.
I raised my three kids in this structure. Emma's dolphins and orca's are still on her old bedroom wall.
In 2003-2004 I added a large addition, great living room, solarium, three bedrooms onto the five existing. There's more to enjoy. Radiant heated floors, jacuzzis , fire places that burn the wood I harvest from just outside the house.
It is a house in the forest, a house surrounded by trees, visited by the local wildlife, over a stream, close to our lakes. We ought to bottle the air. It's so clean and reviving.
On clear nights the stars are individual lights, thousands of them.
Yet we are 50 minutes from downtown Montreal . So urban life is accessible in short order.
As are the wonders of the Laurentians: The skiing, snowshoeing, dog-sledding in winter, the maple syrup harvest in the spring, the changing leaves in the autumn, the swimming canoeing and hiking in summer. The blessings of four distinct seasons !

What makes this property unique
I call it public spaces and private places.
There are large open spaces to sit around and chat around the dining table, in the expansive living room, on the deck, in the screened in porch, or while watching the birds feed from the light infused solarium .
Yet there are private , intimate spaces to chat with friends, read a book up in the window seat, dome side, or chill in your room where where the space and lighting are yours to enjoy.
