Cairn Cottage

You’ll be surrounded by breathtaking, rugged hills in this superb, light-filled single-level home near Leavenworth. With cathedral ceilings and huge windows in the main living area, this home brings the outdoors in while spoiling you with desirable amenities. The living room features a gas fireplace with a river-rock face, an alcove for the TV, and a plush sectional for relaxing, all under a soaring ceiling with inset lighting. The fully equipped galley kitchen has loads of counter space and a breakfast bar ledge for wine and snacks, plus counter-to-ceiling windows over the sink for mountain views. A large trestle table is fit for a feast; the dining room opens to a patio and the sky-and-mountain-view hot tub outside.

The king bedroom suite is on one end of the home for privacy, and you’ll love a soak in spa tub indoors or taking the private entrance to the hot tub outdoors. Two more bedrooms share a bath at the other end of the home. You can walk up to Leavenworth’s historic Ski Hill Lodge, one of the area’s hidden gems, and enjoy outdoor concerts or a hike into the hills in summer and cross-country skiing and inner-tubing in winter. You’re just a mile from downtown Leavenworth and its shopping, dining, and frequent festivals. The kids will enjoy the home’s huge, grassy lot and fenced backyard when you’re not out exploring the area or hitting the slopes. Awesome Location-a bit Sparce and needs deep clean as greasy smell

This location is so amazing for us! We loved the views and location the most! Deer hung out in the yard and it was very peaceful! We were disappointed as the house smelled odd- like old cooked greasy food caked into everything. Found grease poured in the bottom of the garbage can when we took the garbage out- we couldn’t get rid of the smell as it was even in the towels. I bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the counters and the appliances and some air fresheners. I did let them know about this but not much they could do as we were already there. For the price of the fees that stacked up to rent this location to stay here, this was very disappointing. Probably needs a deep clean or refresh of painting/furniture. It’s very bare - could use some updated decor and furniture. If you don’t care about those things then the view and local were great. It had a piano that was old so we let my kids play on it and they loved it- that was a fun surprise. If they did updates/refresh and got the smell out of the house I’d go back to the location! I wish I didn’t have to say this as I hate giving any negative feedback but it’s true and I hope they consider doing some things. It probably wouldn’t take much to get some things at TJmaxx or Target and just freshen it up and make it look cute/updated.

Clean property but need more utensils

This property is conveniently located near downtown Leavenworth. It is clean and easy to find. My complaint is the lack of pots and pans and other cutlery to make a meal for 6 people. The ones available needs to be replaced as it is old. Compared to the other VRBOs that I have stayed in, this is the least stocked property that I have been in. The body wash that was provided does not sud at all.
