Family Christmas

This was our second year staying in this house for a family Christmas vacation. The house has everything you could need at a home away from home. This year it didn’t seem that the property was vacuumed before we arrived but other than that everything was perfect!

Great experience!!!

It is a great, clean, comfortable and well maintanaied house. There is a lot of space in bedrooms and family/dining rooms. Enought dishes, cutleries and utensils for a big company, but you may need to bring some minor staff like hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. We did not find ones to replace but that honestly was the only minus which we could see there. It definetely won't stop me from giving it 5*. There is a lot of games in the house and you will find what to do for sure. A lot of space around the house for kids to play soccer or anything elese in a summer time or for a snowboard as my son had in this winter days. Juccuzi with a multi-colored illumination provides relaxing for a company as well as a romantic for a couple. We definetely will recommend this house and planning to come back in a summer.

This house is awesome!

We’ve been renting in the poconos for a family Christmas for years now and this is by far the nicest house we’ve stayed at. Plenty of sleeping room, the kitchen has everything you need and the table is big enough for a large family meal! The spa was a bonus and the game room downstairs was a nice extra feature. Lots of space to spread out and the first floor bedroom was great for my mom who doesn’t use stairs easily! We are planning on renting again next year! Also Robert was very responsive with some questions we had!

Great find in an awesome spot

The property was just as described on the website. The kids had a terrific time in the game room and there was lots of space and sleeping arrangements for our group of six adults, four children and one infant. I wish we had more time as we never got to check out the hot tub. The host was super easy to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed.

Solid choice for a Poconos getaway

If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. This is a solid property that overall worked well for a short Poconos retreat with our group of 8 friends (who have been traveling together for nearly 20 years, so we’ve seen a lot of houses along the way!) The open plan first floor is nice. Having a new hot tub is a great feature. The kitchen was large enough that five or six of us could comfortably work together on a group meal, and the dining table was large and inviting - worked well for both meals and games. The setting is quite picturesque as well – we had lots of wildlife visiting: deer, wild turkeys, there was a bear sighting up the road once… Fun! Last but not least, communication with the owner was clear and responsive both before and during our stay. A couple recommendations our group would have: -Biggest “ding” - I don’t think the hot tub is being serviced often enough for a rental property - once every two weeks isn’t nearly enough for a heavily used tub at a vacation property. Luckily, the company was scheduled for a visit anyway before our trip was done so we enjoyed a fresh fill on the last night, but it was unusable for the first couple of days. I would recommend that they either give their cleaning crew more directions on how to care for it or have the company out once a week. (Or both - at home we check ours twice a week on moderate use.) -We found the beds and living room furniture to be a little uncomfortable for our tastes and aging backs. The shallow sofas aesthetically look great, and they would be fine for a sitting room, but not very cozy/inviting for a group who wants to curl up and watch a movie. (The sofas in the basement area are more plush though.) Also, mattresses were VERY firm in some of the rooms - even one of the couples who regularly camps out said they woke up unusually stiff and sore. However, this could be an easy fix with mattress toppers. All in all though, this house is a very solid choice, and has a great layout for quality time together. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
