An entire gut-renovated 2-bedroom apartment in the heart of Bushwick, where Williamsburg, Bed-Stuy, and Ridgewood converge. Designed and renovated by a contractor with a luxury-interiors background: open and bright, with skylights, high ceilings, blackened oak floors, and rotating artwork throughout. It's personal and intentional, and it reads that way.

Two large, sunlit bedrooms (a queen bed in each, sleeps 4), a spacious modern bathroom with a rain-head shower, and a chef's kitchen genuinely designed for cooking - Liebherr refrigerator, Thermador oven, and Bosch dishwasher, with basic pantry goods, oils, spices, and filtered water on hand. The ~400 sq ft open main room has high ceilings, two skylights, and plenty of counter and desk workspace. Art supplies, books, maps, and board games are throughout and free to use.

Built for longer stays: fast WiFi and a dedicated workspace, in-unit washer and dryer, air conditioning, a garden, and a 24-hour supermarket across the street. A quiet, residential second-floor apartment on a safe block.

Getting around: 1 block to the Halsey J train; the L runs 24 hours and is the fastest route to Manhattan, with the C nearby; roughly 20 minutes by train to Manhattan. Free street parking.

Neighborhood: Bushwick is energetic and artistic, with cafes, restaurants, bars, thrift stores, and an art-supply store all within walking distance - Little Skips, Routine (vegetarian cafe), Evergreen Bar, and more just steps away.

Gabe was awesome! Everything we needed was right there. Things you wouldn’t think of he had it stocked and ready. The place was very well kept and clean.The area seemed pretty safe for the most part. great stay. close to Subway. Everything was provided for us. Gabe even provided local beers for a small price. Our stay was at the beginning of the corona virus...Gabe called to see if we were okay with the cleaning supplies in the apt. or if we would be more comfortable with something else ... if so he offered to bring it over. Lovely Brooklyn Apartment

Two bedrooms apartments, very clean with stylish touches. Well stocked kitchen, beers in the fridge, polaroid camera, bowl with one hundred blue pens, plenty of shampoos... 5 minutes from J station, 30 minutes from Manhattan. Quiet street, neighborhood is ok, walking distance to small restaurants and 2 minutes to full supermarket. We always felt safe.

L’appartamento è ampio e luminoso, pulito e dotato veramente di tutto. Le camere da letto sono sufficientemente spaziose con letti comodi, armadi e cassetti e il bagno ha una bella doccia. Piacevole accudire Sebastian. Leggermente fastidioso il rumore prodotto dall’impianto di riscaldamento. Supermercato dietro l’angolo e fermata della metropolitana (Halsey subway, linea J) a cinque minuti. Non abbiamo incontrato il proprietario di persona ma, tramite mail, si è sempre dimostrato molto cordiale e disponibile. Da raccomandare e …. ritornare.

Lovely design place

We really enjoyed our stay in Gabriel’s flat. Very clean, luminous, spacious and good location for subway direct to south Manhattan. Gabriel is very reactive and helpful. I will definitly recommend this modern, well decorated and design place and keep it in mind if I come back to NYC one day. Important point : beds are very good and confortable after long walks in the city :) Thanks again !

Wonderful stay in Brooklyn

Beautiful home and excellent location. I travelled with my 21 year old daughter and this was her first trip to New York. I wanted to stay in Brooklyn instead of Manhattan, and this place was perfectly located. We loved walking to the subway to and from everyday. We visited a lot of awesome areas in Brooklyn and just had a wonderful time. Gabe was a gracious host and took care of us. We door dashed dinner two evenings and walked to restaurants too. Great place, great host and we will visit again.

One of the best places we have stayed. Every detail was thought of & communication was excellent with property owner. Wonderfull place in Brooklyn

We loved our 7-days stay in this apartement. When we arrived, we felt immediately at home. Everything you need is in the house. The house is spacious. We lived here with three adults, who come from the Netherlands. We enjoyed the little details in the house. The pictures on Vrbo give a good impression. The neighbourhood was good enough. We never felt really uncomfortable, although at night you see sometimes people walking on the street who are a bit "lost" of look homeless. The metro is at the corner, 5 minutes walk. There is a good supermarket at the corner of the street (1 minute walk). The communication with Gabrial was good, specially when we lived in the same timezone as Gabriel (when we were in Europe we sometimes had to wait). He is a very friendly person, who communicated very well. Thank you, Gabriel, for having us. We recommend his place for sure!

Très bel appartement très propre. Accès facile depuis la ligne J du Métro qui donne accès à Manhattan et à la ligne de l'aéroport. Super marché à proximité. L'équipement de la cuisine est très bon et il y a tous les ingrédients de base. Un petit défaut il y a une église très proche et le vendredi soir c'est Gospel jusqu'à minuit !! Le vendredi soir il se peux que des maisons de la rue fasse(nt) le fête et donc un peu de bruit. A part ces petits inconvénients l'appartement est très agréble et correspond complètement à la description de l'annonce.

Felt Like Home Away From Home

It's never easy traveling and wondering what you are actually walking into. I have to say walking into Gabriel's house was an awe moment. One that was not expected. We loved the feeling as soon as we walked in the door. It was so inviting, so quaint, and cozy. We felt like we belonged as soon as we walked in and he added personalized touches just for us. This was by far the best VRBO or Airbnb experience we have had yet. The neighborhood was not bad and was so close to all transportation needed. Gabe was in touch to ensure we had everything we needed and more. The personal touches and supplies available were phenomenal. Sébastien the fish and Alexa were the perfect final touches after long days of touring the city. We loved this home and all it had to offer. We will recommend to everyone coming to NY. A comfortable and nice apartment in Brooklyn 20 minutes by train from downtown Manhattan

We have stayed at Gabriel's house for a week this summer. The photographs are show the apartment is. It is an apartment for 4 people, clean and with all the details that you may need while you are away to enjoy your vacation as if you were at home. Gabriel was attendant at all times, but we couldn't say goodbye personally because he was away, but he always offered his help. The apartment is 5 minutes from the J train. From there you can make any transfer to go to the any place of downtown Manhattan. We bought the Metrocard to use the integrated metro-bus-train transport for several days, was the best option. There is a grocery market in the corner open until late, where you can find everything that you need. The neighbourhood is quiet, but it is not downtown Manhattan. That means that are local people with some tourists like us.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Vassar College. I read Philosophy for one year at Lady Margaret Hall College, Oxford University, UK. I took one year of coursework towards a degree in Industrial Design.

I am originally from Baltimore, MD which is one hour drive north of Washington, DC. I have lived in NYC most of my adult life.

Why they chose this property

This apartment is located In trendy BUSHWICK, but is on the edge of classic BEDFORD STUYVESANT. I Super-trendy, Williamsburg is north and is between us and Manhattan.
