Bancroft Haven nestled above the yacht club marina boasts panoramic views across Bancroft Bay. Centrally located in the township of Metung, Bancroft Haven is an ideal location to base yourself for any season of the year to soak up the warmer months or take a break from the bustle of the cooler winter climate. From the moment you pull into the driveway, time stands still as you nestle into our sanctuary, escaping the animation of life.

Our home provides the privacy that you would expect when enjoying some downtime, whilst offering sweeping views towards the eastern end of the world-renowned Gippsland Lakes.

Bancroft Haven is full of character aimed at helping you soak up the relaxing atmosphere and charm that Metung has to offer.

The vaulted ceilings in the lounge and Huon pine paneling provide a warming charm throughout any time of the year.

The spacious living and multiple entertaining areas allow for separate retreats across the house so that your whole family can engage in a differing style of relaxation and comfort.

The lounge area is adorned with a floor-to-ceiling sandstone feature and centralised doors opening on the deck spaces to the north and south. This room also has a fan-forced wood heater (BYO Wood), furnishing a luring warmth during the winter months, and accompanied by a reverse cycle split system to help negate the summer heat.

Modern appliances, large entertainment units, WIFI, and a host of other features are designed to bring the best of what you have at home on holidays.

The home comprises of four bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king bed and direct access to the southern deck through an external door. It has a generous walk-in robe and a sizeable ensuite. The second bedroom has a choice of 2 x king single beds or 1 king-size bed. The third bedroom has a king-size bed, and the fourth bedroom has 2 single size beds. Both with built-in robes and direct access to an internal bathroom. The added feature of the house is a separate mezzanine area with a quality queen size sofa bed with its own cheeky private balcony access.

From the comfort of the lounge room, from the kitchen, or from the cosiness of the outside deck, You can pass the time away by keeping an eye on the boating activity on the lakes or watching the abundance of birdlife that congregates in the trees around the property.

You have direct access to a spacious two-car garage beneath the house. From here we have a unique feature in a single-person lift (available on request) that conveniently provides internal access to the living room.

Moving to the outside of our house, you will find numerous areas to relax or play should you wish to entertain. Our house boasts Extensive outdoor entertaining areas to provide shade during the summer warmth and shelter during the colder months of the year. Soak up a breakfast sunrise on the eastern balcony, then move to the lounge on the southern deck to escape the mid-day sun, and then retreat to the Northern deck for a sunset towards the best part of the afternoon.

Our distinctive property is just a five-minute stroll to the Metung Village on the water’s edge boardwalk. Pick from the fruit trees when in season. Take your time to feed the rosellas, parrots, and other native birds, whilst taking in the breathtaking views across Bancroft bay. The teared garden, tranquillity, and amazing views will have you captivated.
