Comfortable private quiet apartment

Stayed here a few times and can't fault it. Great location near Darby St pub, cafes, restaurants, Bar Beach, The Junction. Really comfortable and tastefully fitted out. Highly recommend!

Stayed here a few times now: clean, tastefully fitted out, quiet and great location - close to beaches, The Junction for Coles, cafes and shops - and a pub. Close to Darby St restaurant precinct. Highly recommend

Family get together

We used The Hideaway for an extra long weekend to catch up with family in Newcastle. It is ideally located and perfect for 2 people. It really is a hideaway and we enjoyed the privacy and feeling of seclusion.

Great property and location

We loved everything about this hideaway apartment! The location was great (close enough to do a nice walk into town but also plenty of buses around) and the actual apartment was really cute. It was cozy and comfortable with extra touches that were very appreciated. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Fab spot

We loved our stay at bar beach - walking distance to Darby street and the beach and a perfect little hideaway. Only small thing was we checked in when it was dark and found it tricky to find the sign and the apartment. Our tip is go right to the back and keep on going! We had the best time in Newcastle!

A perfect little one bedroomer for my regular work travel. I loved that Harris Farm was just around the corner and a 5 minute walk got me beachfront. Easy to find, immaculately clean and close to everything you could need for a short stay. Loved it and I will be back :)

Hop, skip & jump to the beach

Apartment is gorgeous, well equipped with everything you need if you want to cook your own meal. Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, and was pleasantly surprised that there was also a washing machine. Lovely outdoor patio area which is very private. Great location, only three blocks from Bar Beach, less than 10 minute walk. Great getaway for single person or couple. The hosts live upstairs, so can be a bit noisy at times.

Nice spot, parking could be a challenge given the location & we became aware it really was at the back of a house - there wasn't much acoustic separation, could hear the occupants walking around & going about their daily tasks which was a bit disconcerting. Other than that it was clean & tidy, & good location for shops & beach access
