About this property
The Pink House
This lovely small cottage originally came into my family as a retirment home for my (then) 90 year old mother, Olive. She loved the place except for its original colour and so promptly painted it Pink.
The house has many of her touches still in it, such as the cross stitch pictures framed on the walls.
Nana Olive was well known through Tokoroa for her hospitality and warm welcome she offered at the Pink House, and we are delighted to continue this tradition.
We are located a 2 minute drive, or 10 minute walk from downtown Tokoroa. There is a small park an easy walk

The Pink House is amazing! Clean, warm, and has a very homely feel. Alby was an amazing host… Nana Olive would be proud of how you are keeping her memory alive. Highly recommend… will definitely be staying again.

Well appointed old-school accommodation that met our large group’s needs perfectly. We appreciated the flexibility with checking in

The pink house was an ideal place to stay for me and my family whilst we attended a wedding close to Tokoroa. The property is ideal for families. The kitchen is well equipped and the property is spacious.
In an ideal world there would be a separate toilet and one of the bedrooms had a bunk rather than free standing bed but everyone seemed to find the accommodation to be very comfortable

We have been staying at the Pink House regularly as we are helping a friend renovate a house. Alby is always extremely helpful, the house is spotlessly
clean, very well equipped and has comfortable beds with lovely linen. We have stayed in many holiday houses and this is one of our favourites. Highly recommend.
The Pink House is a great place to stay in Tokoroa. Very clean, great facilities and comfortable beds. Loved the wood fire and heat pump on a cold night. Would definitely stay again when visiting Tokoroa.
Great cosy cottage for our group of 3 over 65's. Had everything we needed, was extremely clean. Had very comfy beds with lovely linen, warm quilts and good quality towels etc. Highly recommend. Will be back again soon hopefully. Thanks Alby and wife
Our 2nd stay at the Pink House and just as great as the first! The house has everything we need, is warm and well equipped. We love that we can come home from a day of helping renovate our friends house, have an awesome hot shower (unlimited hot water) and totally relax in peace and quiet. We have just booked for another 4 day weekend in a couple of weeks. Highly recommend. Thanks Alby, a great host!
We know Tokoroa. For our needs this house was perfect for visiting family who need peace and privacy whilst also needing our support.
Private, warm, cosy and clean.
Thank you so much Alby for an amazing stay. I stayed two weeks at the pink house, and it was a home from home. Warm, clean and well equipped. Very comfortable in every respect. Hospitality at its best!
It was lovely and homely. Access instructions easy to follow. After a tiring long drive we arrived late at night with the cottage all warmed up on our arrival. Very welcoming and relaxed. Had a great sleep in a cosy comfortable bed, just what was needed for the next part of our journey south. Had everything we needed and was so clean.
Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality.
This was a wonderful place to stay. We had four nights here. The beds are super comfortable. It's cosy and a bit dated but it is still original and lovingly decorated by the hosts departed mum which ads so much to its charm. The kitchen is very well equipt well laid out. The excisting washing maschine and dryer have a very large capacity and are so convinient. The host lives next door and is very helpful and genuinely nice. So lovely chating to him. After a long day out and about our kids enjoyed the big TV with netflix and the comfortable lounch chairs. Everything is spotless and spacious but still cosy. It really feels like you are staying for a weekend at Nana's. It is very centraly located, an hour from Rotorua (so no smell!), about an 11/2h from Lake Taupo, Hobbiton and Waitomo each. It was a great base for our daytrips. We would stay here again and highly recommend it for families or groups as there is enough space for 5 people
Thank you
