Wambal Cabin is an architecturally designed luxury cabin built within some of the region’s most dramatic wilderness. Perfect for a weekend away, Wambal Cabin is hidden away on 100 acres of bushland in the northwestern area of Wollemi National Park.
The cabin has 65sqm of space and has been meticulously handcrafted with rammed earth walls made from clay found on the property, most of the timber used on the building has been sustainably harvested and milled from the property using various species of gum trees. The polished concrete floors have underfloor heating for those cooler months, further heated by a suspended fireplace that hangs from the ceiling. Looking out to the north of the cabin is floor to ceiling glass to take in expansive wilderness views towards the mountains of Wollemi National Park, sometimes capped with snow several times over winter.
The large bathroom has an overhead rainfall shower, a bath big and deep enough for two, tiles handcrafted in Morocco, and of course those rammed earth walls. Each cabin has a kitchenette with full kitchen facilities including a BBQ on the deck.
In the cooler months you will have access to a firepit to use outside so you can sit back and stargaze over the milky way.
You will also have access to two mountain bikes and a mini library on the property which has several hundred books.
The cabins were designed with ideas from travelling to over 40 countries and staying in some of the worlds most wildest places. We envisaged something wild where you could immerse yourself in nature and feel a world away from the city. In terms of wildlife, at current count you will be surrounded by 93 species of flora, 2 species of amphibian, 72 species of bird, 11 species of mammal, 11 species of microbat, 2 species of monotreme, 6 species of reptile and a rich history of indigenous culture.
Located only 3 hours from Sydney this property is suited to nature seekers and foodies alike. We are only 40 minutes from Mudgee and 10 minutes from Rylstone with both towns having well known wineries and restaurants.

Absolutely amazing property! The cabin itself was breathtaking - let alone the views! Very clean, modern and unique, but in an incredible country setting. Nice and close to town.
We had the most amazing time there, everything was great, just like the photos.
I really appreciate the host leaving alot of stuff for us to use. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful, private and tranquil getaway.
Quiet place and beautiful love the house design and stovestove
The view is wonderful and quiet. Love the house design and my favourite is the stove night time just enjoy it so much watching the wood burns. But the bedroom blanket I can smell it not very nice. And the blanket inside the wardrobe don’t wanna touch it that smell so bad. I did enjoy the time being very much. I had a great time.
