About the home

“The Point Bass Coast” is a stunning single-storey family home in Bass with incredible 270 degree water frontage, views from every room, a short drive from the Bass General store, and 15 minutes from all the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of San Remo. Some of the many features of this unique home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The central main Living/Dining Room (with smart tv and bluetooth speaker) adjoins the open plan Kitchen (all with stunning views) and provides access directly to the main bedroom (with walk in robe, separate toilet, and ensuite with bath & shower). The front balcony and rear deck are also accessed from the Living/Dining Room. The second Living Room (with smart tv) provides another space to relax with more spectacular views and access to bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with built in robes) as well as the main Bathroom/Laundry (with shower, toilet, washing machine & clothes dryer).

Outdoor Areas

Set on more than 20 acres, the area is an internationally recognised habitat of importance for local/migratory land/sea birds plus other native animals. Please note that the property is not fully fenced however the front balcony is an enclosed area that can be shut off. The front covered deck (with gas bbq, table & chairs for 8 people) has some water views, while the rear semi-covered deck has uninterupted water views over the native grasses (with 4 small chairs). There is an outdoor hot/cold shower near the front balcony and there is plenty of space to park up to 4 vehicles (cars and/or a boat).

Please note that the large shed is not accessible to guests.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners in each of the two Living Rooms, ceiling fans in bedroom 1 and the main living Room, wall mounted hydronic heating in all three bedrooms, plus two additional stand-alone fans which can be used where required. There is also a Coonara-style wood heater in the main Living Room (some wood provided to get you started).

Bedding Configuration

This home has 6 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Double bed
Bedroom 3: Two sets of Single Bunks

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.

Absolutely stunning property in beautiful picturesque surroundings. Extremely well equipped in all ways. Great place to unwind and Phillip Island only 20 minutes drive away.

The place was outstanding! Water views everywhere! Basically all you hear and see are the sounds of nature! Fully stocked toiletries! Stunning views! Only thing that has of us were missing, was our family and grand children! There’s plenty of room for everyone! Outstanding communication with any questions from Vrbo any day of the week! Fully equipped kitchen with everything you would possibly need as though you’re home! Very clean and looking forward to stay in there again! A+/5* Rating!
