The Tudor Barn - Tudor Style Barn House. Sleeps 5!
The Tudor Barn – nestled in hundreds of acres of private woods!
Plan your next vacation at a stunningly restored 1920’s historic barn, perfect for a family looking for a
fun-filled get-away or couples who appreciate privacy, space and the wonders of over 270 acres of private
woods and wildlife. Miles of country roads and pathways, passing along Hamlin Lake, ponds and
wetlands, are perfect for biking, jogging and long walks. There is abundant wildlife, including many
species of birds. The wetlands can also be easily accessed by kayak or canoe for a closer look at nature.
The Tudor Barn, recognized in 2012 for its historical preservation by the Mason County Architectural
Heritage Society, offers 1800 sq. ft. of spacious living for up to 5 people. The first floor comprises a
living/dining room area with a dining table for six, a fully-equipped kitchen with every amenity, and a bar
counter that seats several. Down the hall is an enclosed washer/dryer, and further on, a full bathroom
with tub/shower. The Master bedroom is nicely furnished and has a Queen-sized bed. Stairs lead to the
loft, a lovely large room with handsomely hand-carved wood beams and a small balcony overlooking a
pond down the road. A full bathroom and a wet bar are part of the main loft area. At the far end of the
loft, up a few stairs, is an open bedroom area with three twin beds. Card table, chairs, ping pong table,
games and books complete the room, perfect for the younger family members’ “get-away.”
There is an outdoor terrace with table, chairs and a BBQ for the ultimate in outdoor dining. Hamlin Lake, with its
spectacular sand dunes, is minutes away from the barn. Boat rentals are available on the lake. Ludington
is about 20 minutes south by car and offers “the best Lake Michigan Beach” according to an article in the
New York Times. This delightful small town is the perfect “family” town with many summer activities
geared for children. The Lighthouse and Ludington State Park, one of the most popular parks in the U. S.,
are both here to be enjoyed. Come join us for your most memorable vacation yet!
