River Dream Cottage is nestled on a 5 acre wooded lot on the Lincoln river. It features a private yet convenient location, a fire pit with views of the night sky, a small spring fed creek and 212 feet of rustic river frontage.

Bedroom #1 offers a queen bed, TV with DIRECTV, ceiling fan and electric heat
Bedroom #2 has a twin bunk bed (sleeps 2) and electric heat
Living room includes a full sleeper sofa (sleeps 2) and a TV with DIRECTV
Bathroom has a tub with shower, electric heat and a washer & dryer
Kitchen includes an island with seating, dishwasher, electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, and cabinets stocked with dishes, cookware and many extras for guests who enjoy cooking
3-seasons room has comfortable seating and a small table w/4 chairs
A small outdoor patio has a picnic table and a gas cooking grill (propane provided)

New in 2023 - access to the Lincoln river by way of a woodchip defined path through the woods! It is approximately 200 steps to a small footbridge over a spring fed creek, then an additional 200 steps to a boardwalk with a floating dock on the Lincoln river. There are 4 kayaks on a stand by the river access. By making land management and accessibility to the natural beauty of the property a priority, our guests are now able to enjoy nature in a unique way. The land provides a serene setting for kayaking, bird watching and often catching a glimpse of a white-tailed deer!

Awesome little cottage in the woods. It was stocked with everything you need and more. Owner was great and responded quickly to your needs. The setting was very private and wonderful. Not a house anywhere around you that could be seen.

The weather had finally cooled off for a perfect long weekend to enjoy Ludington. Fall in Michigan continues to offer amazing hikes and fishing. The cottage was perfect for our family. The size of the yard was most important for our 3 boys! Everynight around the firepit and running around! The kitchen and house was well equipped making cooking and grilling easy. The canoe was perfect for our sons to go fishing in Lincoln Lake.

Awesome Getaway in My Hometown

As a 30 your native of Ludington, back home for a visit and househunting – this was the perfect little hide away for the weekend as a looked at homes and spend time with my kids and grandkids. Highly recommend!!

Great house in a nice, secluded location.

Wonderful ludington getaway!

The property was cleaned very well upon our arrival and the location was just perfect. Our family has been visiting ludington since the 60s primarily staying in the state park. This place was the best of both worlds. You’re only a couple minutes from downtown ludington as well as the state park. Not to mention, you could just relax all day, every day at the cabin if you wanted to. Great place to stay!

Our stay in Ludington was definitely cozy and relaxing. Everything we needed was supplied including detailed suggestions for enjoying the Western Michigan area and access to wonderful nature views. We definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys nature surrounded by plenty of outdoor amenities.

Love this property!

This is the fifth or sixth time we’ve stayed at this place, we come every year! We love the private location, but accessibility to so much that Ludington has to offer. The property is clean, family friendly, and the hosts were wonderful and easy to communicate with. The river is an absolute delight! We will definitely be back again and again!

Very nice property, very clean. We had all the amenities we needed to cook with and to enjoy ourselves. The weather wasn't great, but we did walk out on the trail to the lake. We hope to take kayaks out if we have a chance to return.

Perfect relaxing get away

Just what we were looking for! Peace & quiet in a remote spot, still close to town and things to do. Loved the sun porch, and the path to the river/lake. Love that kayaks were available to use, and that we did. She really has thought of everything you could need/want. Would recommend and would definitely come back! Thanks for everything.

River Dream

We enjoyed our week here. Appreciated how clean the house was, having the selection of spices in the small pantry (and, the pantry itself), the lovely, soft bath towels and especially enjoyed sitting on the sun porch. The house is smallish, but is tastefully furnished and there are many small touches throughout that indicate the owners understand and appreciate having renters. We recommend a visit to River Dream Cottage.

Perfect week escape

This location and property were exactly what I was looking for in a vacation week to reset and relax, plus enjoy the outdoors. Very clean and spacious in the living area which I appreciated versus being over crowded with furniture. There is not one thing I didn’t love about this property! Great communication with the owner and such an amazing week! I’m already looking forward to next year!
