Perfect place to stay for a weekend away with friends, Ellenbrook is close by for shopping and places to eat. The grounds were beautiful if you wanted to go for a stroll. The unit itself was well set out and there was lovely air con and a comfortable couch to relax on as well as outdoor area to sit and have a glass of wine. The only issue we had was we were unable to check in until 5.30pm when it stated check in was at 2pm. We only found this out when we contacted the host for details on how to access the unit as we were driving into Perth at 2pm. Then when we arrived it looked as if the clean had been rushed, as the sheets were put on the bed around the wrong way and the floor looked as though it had not been vacuumed or mopped. We thought perhaps the host had forgotten about the booking, but this is an assumption as we were not informed why check in was so late. Despite this we enjoyed our stay and would go back again, just perhaps contacting the host the day before check in to make sure the unit is ready on time.
Anything but 'Luxury'. Spied on and interfered with by owner.
On the first morning the owner messaged at 8am to say they had arranged a delivery of a new outdoor setting and would be coming over between 1pm-2pm.
At 3pm i received a message from the owner saying they weren't happy we parked 2 cars in the double carport.
That afternoon the air-conditioning unit wasn't turning on. We had an awful sleep as bedrooms are upstairs and it is quite warm due to brick walls retaining heat. Next morning i found the main switch on the outdoor unit had been turned to 'off' by someone.
I asked the owner why they turned the air-con off and was told 'extra fees for leaving air-con on'.
I responded saying there is no mention of this in the property ad or house rules.
Owner then said they never went to the property because they had tested positive for covid. They said the furniture delivery people must have been in the garden and turned the air-con off (weird because the courtyard is out the back and air-con is out the front).
When i asked how they knew there were 2 cars in the carport if they didn't come over, they said the neighbour across the driveway sent photos.
This was anything but a pleasent experience. I would NOT recommend staying here.
