Family wedding weekend. Frieda’s property is fabulous, enough space for us all plus sitting outside overlooking the horse arena is special. Her attention to detail in the house was incredible. We will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Family Stay

The house was warm and welcoming. It was very clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. A large house with plenty of space and a verandah with beautiful views of the property. The owner was just lovely.

A little piece of heaven in the Swan Valley

Amazing - Want to stay again

The property was beautiful, better than advertised. Comfy beds, kitchen had everything needed to cook, plenty of room for the extended family. The host was amazing, they were flexible & offered alternate check in options after flight disruptions made us late. The host went above & beyond to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely stay again if we return to Perth & would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a more personal style of accommodation.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at this amazing property. The accommodation was amazing - spacious, clean and comfortable. Freida the host was very welcoming and left bread, milk, cheeses etc, for us to use. The house had everything we could possibly need. The communication and check-in was very friendly and easy. Would recommend to friends.

girls weekend away

lovely property with plenty of room and the facilities were excellent, as older ladies, we found the baths too high to comfortably get in and out of. Though the air conditioning was available throughout the house, it was hard to evenly control the temperature throughout the house, so some rooms were cold whilst others were quite warm. It would have been nice to have some lighter temperature doonas, as the ones provided were way too hot. Sorry for the complaints as the house was really lovely and so were the doggies who greeted us each day.

Great Experience !

I agreed fully with all the previous reviewers on their experience staying in this nice property - the quality of the furnishing, complete kitchen facility and comfort of the house is more than what the pictures are able to show. You have to come into the house to appreciate it! All 8 of us, 6 adults and 2 young children (6 & 9 yo) had a great experience staying in this property for 5 nights which we wish we could stay longer. With the complete full sets of kitchen utensils, we cooked every dinner on our own and enjoyed our family time together with the food + wine. We jogged / walked around the scenic property every morning (greeted by the friendly dogs & horses) before moving out for our planned activities and always looking forward to coming back to the house at the early evening for a good rest and family time. We enjoyed the short conversation with the property owner Frieda too - it was nice to learn about the history of the property and the meaning of the town (Brigadoon). On the very last day as we had an early morning flight to catch, we were trying our very best to clean up the kitchen, tidy up the place and clear all the trashes hopefully the Gatehouse can be maintained as good as always so that more people can come to enjoy with its current condition. Thank you, Frieda!

The Gatehouse at Glenbaile is an outstanding property. We enjoyed 4 days together (3 generations) family. Property owner Frieda had a genuine interest in ensuring our stay was a memorable time. The home easily accommodated the 8 of us allowing time together and time to be alone if wanted.Of al the properties we have booked on Stayz, the Gatehouse stands alone at the top.

We had a wonderful stay over the weekend with friends at the gatehouse. It’s in an excellent location which allowed us to explore the swan valley region, the house and beautiful surroundings were lovely to walk around too. Would definitely recommend and stay again, thank you :)

Absolutely Stunning!!

We had the most amazing stay! The property is absolutely stunning and The Gatehouse itself was so much more than what we expected. So spacious and so well appointed. They have definitely thought of every little thing you need for a wonderful stay. They even spoilt us with cheese and biscuits and supplies on arrival. The hosts were so approachable and they're thoughtfulness was lovely. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even going to Bunnings late in the afternoon to get a new plug for the heavenly bath so we could totally relax during our stay. We highly recommend staying with these lovely hosts and their beautiful property.

An absolute pleasure to stay at this beautiful equestrian Gatehouse. Quiet and peaceful and the scenery was lovely, but also close enough to the "city" areas to visit each day. So many places to dine and visit - a couple of chocolate factories! Just a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend.

Relaxing Stay

This is my third visit to Glenbaile. As always it was relaxing, quiet and lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Family vacation

This property had the wow factor!! Very clean, tidy and cozy, and just all round beautiful! Kitchen fully stocked and functional to cook up a storm for the family. Kids loved walking around looking at the horses. Wish we had stayed a bit longer! Would definitely stay again!

a reunion and recharging gatehouse

Freida is a friendly and kind host, making our stay at this homestay a wonderful experience. This place offers great privacy and is perfect for a group of 8 family members or friends who want to 'recharge' and find peace. We had a wonderful and relaxing time and really 'recharged' our energy. My family and friend also enjoyed the walks and sightseeing around the gatehouse. We look forward to staying here again when we visit. Your hospitality made our stay even more special.
