Hillborne Cottage Perth Hills

HILLBORNE COTTAGE is a self-contained two bedroom cottage in the beautiful Perth Hills at Sawyers Valley. Hillborne borders on, with safe easy access, to the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail, the KEP Track (walk, cycle., horse ride) and the National Trust Golden Pipeline Heritage Drive (Mundaring Weir to Kalgoorlie) and Alps Reserve.

The cottage is perfectly situated for bush walkers, cyclists, and horse riders with numerous tracks and trails all within a stone's throw of "Hillborne", about 5 mins drive, 15 mins off road cycle ride from Mundaring and 45 minutes from Perth. The Munda Biddi Trail, one of the worlds longest off road cycle trails starts in Mundaring.

The cottage, has very comfortable two bedroom accommodation with a queen bed and a second bedroom with two king singles. It has a fully equipped kitchen, sitting and dining area with TV, DVD player, reverse cycle air-conditioning in the living areas, fans in the bedrooms. A large veranda with BBQ to enjoy the beautiful views over the valley and the spectacular glow of the last rays of the sun disappearing up the gum trees.

All linen and towels provided. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar provided and our own free range eggs when available. PLEASE NOTE : MINIMUM TWO NIGHT STAY.

We welcome horses, by request, the paddock in front of the cottage is

PLEASE NOTE: Access to the cottage is up a short flight of stairs to the verandah, this could be a problem for guests with mobility issues.

Melissa’s property is beautifully presented and has everything you need to feel welcome and at home. We were lucky enough to have our Groodle along for the stay and she was kept safe within the fully fenced cottage. My young son absolutely loved being able to collect fire wood and light a fire for roasting marshmallows. Was so nice to sit on the veranda and admire the vista with wildlife and horses in the paddocks, can’t wait to go back

Beautiful weekend escape!

We had a fantastic weekend away at this beautiful cottage. Everything was perfect and the extra touches (local recommendations on walks, kids feeding the horses, comfy beds, farm laid eggs and raw honey from the farm) made the stay even better. We highly recommend this lovely place.

Perfect little cottage

The cottage was beautiful inside and out. The scenery was absolutely stunning. Nothing beats sitting out in the morning with your cuppa and listening to the birds. Melissa was amazing and took us to feed the horses.The location was great, close to Mundaring and Chidlow. There is some great walking/bike tracks close by.

We were warmly welcomed by the property owner upon arrival who also treated us to some supplies in the fridge (milk, jam & fresh eggs)The cottage was beautifully presented and had everything you need. Perfect autumn mini break

We loved feeding the horses and toasting marshmallows around the fire. We brought our pooch this time and it was so easy with the enclosed yard. A short walk to the Mt Helena tavern for an afternoon beer, where we shared the beer garden with a local horse as well as lots of other friendly dogs! This place would be lovely for a couple as well as a family.
