Our family of 4 (kids ages 10 & 14) spent 3 nights in this gem of a home in July 2023. It was such a welcome reprieve from hotels & restaurants at the midway point on a 2 week trip. It was clearly a well-loved, well-equipped, well-stocked home (not a sterile rental) with lots of plants, artwork, movies to watch, and cozy spots to hang out including the lovely grove of trees beside the home. My daughter loved reading her book out there among the fairy lights & trees. It was so quiet & peaceful. The master bed was a little softer than I prefer but I still slept great. Probably the fresh air & peaceful environment!
Although it was in a rural area, it was very easy to get around PEI from here. The home was close to the highway so it didn’t take us long to hop over to Charlottetown or head towards the north shore. It’s quite close to the Woods Island ferry for those coming that way. Due to ferry shutdown, we had to take the Confederation Bridge there and back which added about 1hr 15 min drive time each way.
Jocelyn was an excellent & generous host from the moment we booked with her - quick to reply to questions, came to greet us & show us around after we had checked in, dropped off some delicious steaks & fresh strawberries for dinner, provided lots of info about the area. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a comfortable home base to visit PEI.
