Fabulous house with amazing views. The well equipped home ensured there was lots to do for a family of a wide range of ages. The proximity to the park for hiking and to Port Elgin for supplies and activities made for an ideal location. Great amenities.
Location of this home is wonderful. Close to hiking in McGregor Point Park, easy walk down to beach, great set up for evening roasted marshmallows on the beach, good shopping in Port Elgin and Southampton. Fabulous view over the lake from the upper level.
Great for family of different ages. We had a wonderful stay!
Our vacation at Sunset Shores was excellent. It was outfitted with everything required for a large group and had 2 fully furnished kitchens. Great location with direct access to the beach. Close to both Port Elgin and Kincardine for all your shopping and dining needs. The few times we had to contact the host, issues were dealt with right away.
Beautiful home - will definitely return!
We had an amazing stay at Graham and Heathers. The house was perfect for us- with both upstairs & main floor kitchens, laundry, bedrooms, and bathrooms everyone was accommodated! We had both seniors and an infant with us and we couldn’t have asked for more. They put a ton of attention to detail with a welcome basket and toiletries in each bathroom which was greatly appreciated. We especially liked that there was cordless vaccums on each floor for the inevitable sand that the kids brought in. The property was spacious and the views of beautiful Lake Huron are unmatched! Graham was very easy to communicate with and everything went very smoothly. Would highly recommend!
Our multigenerational family had a terrific week at Sunset Shores this summer - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it exceeded our expectations in every way.
The house was modern, clean and comfortable with plenty of room for our group of 11 people. The finishes and appliances were new and high-end, so with the house being recently completed, it all felt very luxurious. It was a big bonus for us to have kitchens on both floors so we could make downstairs the early-bird breakfast/kid zone and upstairs the "quiet" area as some of us were coming from different time zones.
Being lakefront the location was amazing. The park is just a few minutes walk down the road - great for birdwatching, mountain biking, jogging or just taking a stroll. There are only a few houses on the dead-end road so we usually had the whole beach to ourselves - it felt like we were somewhere remote at our own private getaway but with the conveniences of Port Elgin only 10 to 15min drive away with supermarkets, restaurants, Walmart, Canadian Tire etc.
Heather and Graham were lovely, thoughtful hosts - easy to communicate with, responded quickly to questions and made us feel very welcomed.
We spent every day using the canoes, paddleboards, looking for fossils, chilling and having sunset campfires. It was a wonderful holiday!
