The property was clean and tidy.
However, 1) in case of an emergency, the egress windows were too high. One would have to stand on a chair to get out, plus it would be a 5 foot climb up to ground level. The one egress went to the owners patio and there were items lying on the grid. I have photos.
2) The smoke detector had been REMOVED from the bedroom near the bathroom. 3) There were no dishcloths or tea towels available. I addressed this with the property owner and the reply was ‘the amenities are as listed in the ad’. There was dish soap, but …. Also, the cleaning sponge was quite ‘well used’. 4) Bath towels were available but no face cloths. Every short term rental I’ve stayed in supplies face cloths. 5) The grid covering the window well for the 2nd bedroom is hazardous. 6) Renters pay for cleaning, however there was old coffee still in the coffee maker mug. We would have washed our 5 dishes by hand rather than start up the dishwasher. There a was a sticky, gummy substance on the sheets in the 2nd bedroom. I have a photo.
Suggestion: Mirrors in the bedrooms would be appreciated, as well as a dresser.
In light of these comments, a partial refund would be appreciated.
