This is resort living at its best! Close to everything the island has to offer! Gulf views don’t get any better than this! The perfect day at the beach is just steps away, grab some chairs and spend the day at the beach, if you prefer, lounge by the pool close to the condo.

An open concept makes the main living area comfortable for the whole family. Perfect vacation property for 2 families. Enjoy watching the pelicans soar overhead and nosedive into the waves. Come and relax and let your worries melt away.

The Victorian Condo Association charges a mandatory $30 plus tax resort/parking fee for stays of up to 14 days and $70 for stays of 15 to 50 days to be paid at the time of check-in. This fee covers parking for two vehicles for up to two weeks as well as guest wristbands for access to the pools, hot tubs, fitness center, and wifi.

Nice place great location

Very nice property and as advertised. Unit was fully stocked with everything one could need. Excellent beach and pool access. My only complaint would be the property advertised an ice machine on site, but only after asking around they finally came forward and said they had bags of ice for purchase.

Birthday with the girls!

I booked this house for my mother in law & her girl friends to celebrate her 80th birthday. Apparently the elevator was out, which was actually foreshadowed in the listing. There was another elevator but it was a long walk for one of the ladies to their group & her take on things is that the staff was a little rude when the gals inquired. They loved the view. The beds were comfortable and there was a walk in shower. So, from where I’m sitting, it was all good.

Unit was surface cleaned but pretty dirty if you looked closely. It definitely showed its age. Only 1 of the 4 tvs worked and only sometimes. The shower floor was stained.

Sandy Cheeks is a nice place. The owners did a nice job with the furnishings and decor. The building is old and needs more maintenance than just fresh paint. The floor of this unit is uneven (doesn't pose a problem) and the door frame and wall to the balcony doesn't seem stable. The elevator was out of service - hauling luggage and groceries to the 3rd floor was more work than it needed to be. The gym equipment is very outdated. The location is decent - next to Walmart for groceries, across from the beach, walking distance to 61st Street Pier. I would definitely recommend having a rental car. The price was too high for the quality of the unit.

My family of 5 were comfortable at Sandy Cheeks.

My family have come to Galveston numerous times over the years. This year we stayed in Sandy Cheeks at The Victorian. We knew it would be walkable to the beach, Walmart and Sonic. The Vic had 2 pools, 1 heated, and 1 not. It also has a hot tub. We love the shaded parking on the hot summer days. We had the option of doing our laundry downstairs in a card operated laundry room. The elevator is handy as we wanted a 3rd floor balcony with a view for my Dad who is in a wheelchair. The 3 bedroom and 2 bath Sandy Cheeks unit had almost everything we needed down to a hair dryer and coffee machine. Kudos for the blackout curtains in the bedrooms! The kitchen had everything we needed. The full sized appliances was a plus. We have dealt with multiple booking agencies and Coastal Waves is the only one that actually communicated with me, a couple of weeks out, that ‘the elevator’ was non functional. I appreciated this because an elevator was a must-have for my Dad. We were able to use another elevator, though farther away, to get around. One big negative in the unit were the lack of towels. There was 1 per person, so we did laundry half way through the week. A couple more kitchen towels would have been nice too. On an added note, my brother and his family also stayed at the Vic on the 2nd floor while we stayed on the 3rd floor. We literally could see each other from the balcony and walk to each others’ place using the stairs nearby. This was an added bonus for the cousins who loved to hang out with each other. Both were front facing 3 bedroom units. All in all our stay at The Victorian through Coastal Waves was great!
