About this property
Overview by Stay Waiheke
Summary:
Overview is a peaceful hideaway set high above the island, offering uninterrupted views across the ocean, valleys, and rolling hills, and absolute privacy with no neighbours in sight. This is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and take in the beauty of Waiheke from your own hilltop perch.
The Space:
Perched on a ridgeline with sweeping views in every direction, Overview by Stay Waiheke is a stand-alone retreat designed for quiet escapes and simple living. Large windows and sliding doors frame the outlook from the living area, bedroom, and deck, making the landscape feel like part of the home itself.
Inside, the space is warm and welcoming, with a cosy lounge, comfortable furnishings, and a log-burning fire that makes winter stays just as inviting as long summer evenings. The home runs on solar power, giving it a gentle footprint while still providing the modern comforts you need. The kitchen is fully equipped for relaxed cooking, and the outdoor deck is the perfect spot for slow breakfasts, sunset wine, or simply watching the weather shift across the water.
This is a place where you wake up to birdsong, linger over views that stretch for miles, and feel wonderfully removed from the everyday.

The Neighborhood:
Overview sits above some of Waiheke’s most spectacular landscapes, surrounded by native bush, farmland, and wide-open skies. While the home feels remote, you’re only a short drive from the island’s celebrated vineyards, coastal tracks, and golden-sand beaches.
Spend the day exploring local favourites such as Onetangi, Palm Beach, or Oneroa, or head to vineyards like Mudbrick, Stonyridge, Cable Bay, and Tantalus for long, lazy lunches. The Whakanewha Regional Park is also close by, offering beautiful walking trails through wetlands, bush, and shoreline. When you return home, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped back into your own private world.
