A classic and sweet Cape Cod getaway with full A/C!
We are just a mile from Bank Street Beach and the village of Harwich Port. We ride our bikes to the beach which takes about 7 minutes (bike rental companies are plentiful!). Just steps away is a 9 hole course. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is only about 3/4 of a mile from the center of Harwich. The cottage has two bedrooms, one with two twin beds, and the other with a queen bed. The third bedroom has a pull-out sofa which sleeps one. The deck and patio are wonderful for cookouts and entertaining. There is a brand new Weber Gas Grill and outdoor seating for 8. The kitchen is a charming traditional Cape Cod cottage kitchen and is well equipped for entertaining and cooking family dinners. The newly remodeled bathroom has a shower and a tub. There is a 65inch Sony Bravia Smart TV in the "Beach" room and newly installed central air conditioning.
We hope you make yourself at home in this sweet cottage during your vacation and relish in the beauty of Cape Cod!

This home was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the central air was greatly appreciated. Great place for families- and dog friendly which is a must for us.
Perfect for what we needed to attend a wedding in Chatham. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. Well equipped for living a week or more and close to any shopping that's needed. Definitely recommend. Be sure to water the 100 year old Christmas cactus is watered before you leave.
Location was great for our needs - just a 4 min. drive to Wychmere Beach resort for a wedding. House had great amount of space - good lighting throughout, including night lights in every room. Each room was well stocked - comfortable beds, nice linens, 2 different desk areas, large dining room table, plenty of kitchen ware, including condiments, ice cube trays in freezer, grocery totes, hangers in every closet. New and easy to open windows. Pulling out of the driveway felt easier and safer than backing out onto the road as traffic went by, so we always, and easily backed our car into the drive way. Would recommend and would return. Thanks for a great stay!
House was perfectly located between beach (1 mile walk) and Harwich Mariners field (1.75 mile walk). Easy walk to Main Street. Easy access to rest of the Cape towns. Kitchen is fully stocked. I was able to cook as if I was in my own house. House is very spacious and comfortable. House is on a busy street so you can hear cars go by but it didn’t bother us at all. Safety was not a concern either. Lovely house. Definitely would stay again! Owners were so easy to work with.
We absolutely loved our stay! Great location, easy walk into town, property was quiet, super clean, and loved the patio! It was the perfect place for us, while in the area for a family wedding. We would definitely return!
Quiet, clean, nice property, plenty of parking.Air conditioning, nice deck and yard, fullly stocked kitchen and washer/dryer. Convenient to beach and towns.
We had such a comfortable stay at this peaceful, perfectly appointed cottage. We felt like we were home the moment we arrived. Hosts put great thought into making our stay easy and breezy. A lovely vacation!
3 night stay with close access to beaches, restaurants, grocery store, and ice cream. Super clean and very well stocked kitchen including excellent coffe making supplies
Convenient location near all the restaurants and bars in Harwich Port. We used the place as a crash pad for our annual Cape Cod tuna fishing trip. Place was clean and it was nice to be able to relax outside on the well appointed deck and patio area. Will definitely look to book this place again for next year’s fishing trip.

Not enough space here to tell the whole story but the short version is that this host uses the insurance policy they REQUIRE you to purchase on top of a damage deposit to submit fraudulent claims and make repairs on their property. The house also wasn’t cleaned upon check in, which also means it wasn’t checked after the last departure who maybe had damaged something, kitchen is covered in hundreds of spiders. There’s plenty of other properties available on the cape, I recommend you choose one of them. Pictures of broken bed WE took at check in, uncleaned house and hundreds of spiders really hard to see because they are tiny and white.
We've stayed here once before. It was just as we remembered. Very cozy, comfortable beds, and a great location close to Harwichport and the beaches. The owners are very responsive and we had another lovely stay here! Highly recommend.
We were there for a family wedding and the location was perfect just between the church and the beach club the house was just right for us and our two fur babies we would definitely go there again the only thing was the dishwasher didn’t work
Stayed for three nights -lovely little home. Looks like owners added an additional patio with Adirondack chairs that were quite lovely. Yard seems to be a project ongoing and the house is besides a busy road and can be a bit of a challenge maneuvering car out of driveway. All in all a nice home in quaint neighborhood. House was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Owners were easy to communicate with - would definitely stay again if in area
Very nice stay. Comfortable beds and clean. Chairs for outside table need repair. Seem quite dangerous with the rips in the fabric. Other outside chairs were available and used instead.
My family came to Cape Cod for our daughter's wedding and needed a place to stay. This cottage was a perfect place for them to relax between the full weekend of events. The owner was very accommodating by allowing me to check in and get their place in order before they arrived. Also the back patio was one of their favorite places to hang out! Thank you!!
Nice place, well stocked with a nice backyard and good location. Beds were comfortable.
A few things to note:
- one road the house sits on is fairly busy and the other very quiet
- we weren’t able to use the table outside because chairs were not in working order
- the office is shotgun to the main bedroom. Fine for adults but might give consideration if having a baby sleep there
- great location, walk downtown easily
- check in process and communication great
- plenty of room for a family of 4
One of my favorite Cape Cod rentals (and I’ve been visiting during the summers for 20 years). Special appreciation for the excellent TV and monitor in the office, the dining chairs and Adirondack chairs on the patio, and the comfortable couches and beds. Very glad to have had the opportunity to stay here.
Britt is from the Midwest and Grant is from the Pacific Northwest. We've been on Cape Cod for the last seven years and just love living here and especially spending time at the South Street House.
Why they chose this property
This cottage and its location are ideal for us. Bikeable to the Brooks library, Shaw's grocery store, the Cape Cod Rail Trail, the local golf course and of course the Harwich Port beaches.
