The property was very guest friendly and spacious. The highlight was the outdoor grilling area to include the fire pit. We all enjoyed the fishing pond as well

Check-in was a breeze! The property is spacious. Home is layed out in an open design that flows well for gathering as well as cozy spaces to retreat for peaceful solitude. It was the perfect space for our group.

We brought a lot of supplies...and fully utilized the space for half of the wedding party. It was so nice enjoying time together in the morning with coffee or in the evenings playing games. We had some off/on crappy weather but the venue's tennis courts were used, fished in the pond, and did yoga outside the kitchen in the back!

Spacious property. Big rooms.

Country feel super close to city; rooster next door, pond to catch bluegill. Plenty of space to gather together or relax in separate areas inside and out.
Lovely sunrises.
Bring your poles.

The home and the grounds are spacious and beautiful. For our family reunion, there was plenty of space for hanging out inside and outside. With the weather being beautiful during our stay, we were able to do our family portrait photo shoot in the backyard area. The guest house worked out great for the grandparents without stairs. Our host was responsive and accommodating.

The property was clean and neatly maintained. We did know that the bedrooms were split in 2 buildings. There were no instructions provided which would have helped. Contacting the owner was easy. Owner was responsive even late in the night.

We enjoyed the open space, ball courts and pool area. Our group had plenty of indoor space and amenities too. (We did run into issues with not having enough hot water in the main house for people to comfortably shower...and only 7 people were staying in that space.)

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize that the fireplace was not working and that the outdoor amenities had debris during your stay. This isn’t the experience we aim to provide. Our team cleaned the entire space that morning; however, there was a heavy wind, and with it being fall, it can be challenging to keep the outdoor areas completely clear at all times. Your comments have been shared with our teams, and we’re enhancing our pre-arrival checks, especially for outdoor spaces. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope to welcome you back for a far better experience.

Excellent place for the kids to roam and the adults to relax

12 of us -- 3 generations -- enjoyed the house for a long weekend. The kids braved the pool, while the adults stuck to the hot tub (weather was cool). Trips to the pond and "barn," and a guest house for those of us who enjoyed quiet while the others whooped it up in the main house. Would definitely return for another Dallas-area stay. Host was exceptionally accommodating and helpful.

Summer Getaway

This house is amazing! The kids loved the pool and hot tub. The outdoor kitchen was wonderful. The Rooms were big and spacious. The kitchen was amazing! Beautiful house and guest house for a large group or family. The event place looked amazing but we did not use that part. It is out in the country and kind of isolated which is great for a group. We would highly recommend this place for an event (such as a wedding) or for a family gathering.

Wedding Weekend

Had family in town for daughter’s wedding. Place was a perfect spot for small gatherings in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Plenty of space inside and out. Overall great value and exactly what we needed. Only issue was trying to find the house at night was a bit of a challenge but got it figured out.

6/10 Okay

Lack of upkeep and maintenance

This property has so much potential, but unfortunately it has clearly suffered from years of deferred maintenance. Plumbing and electrical issues, grounds not well maintained, walls, trim doors and baseboards in desperate need of repair and paint. Shower situation is awful. Beds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable- I mean like the worst ever. Bed linens are of poor quality. It almost seems like they are just waiting for everything to break before they repair anything. If you stay here, don’t really expect luxury and I would highly recommend that you bring your own pillows and maybe even a mattress. 😆

Property is very large so accommodated our large group. Lots of deferred maintenance. Carpet stained, hvac vents were filthy. Pool was dirty and looked like filters hadn’t been cleaned in months. Lots of trash scattered around the property. Bathtub drain in the room I stayed in was backed up so the tub would fill immediately while taking a shower. Water just a trickle in the main master so plumbing needs to be addressed. Could be a great property but you can tell it’s been ignored for a long time.

Perfect place for our large group

We brought 12 teenagers (and adults too) to this property for both fun and study time. It was amazing! So much space! Our teens LOVED the basketball court especially! Plenty of places to sleep and spread out. We encountered a broken water heater that affected one of the bathrooms so that was a bummer but the owner was doing his best to get it fixed for us. Stuff happens. We would definitely book here again!!

Very spacious

Good size great for big families. Missing some kitchen items like a griddle and some new pots and pans and utensils . Also those pillows and beds are not comfortable. Should have had thicker quilts due to cold weather. Besides all the negative things we made it work.

The house (particularly the outside) didn’t seem guest-ready when we arrived. The pool hadn’t been cleaned, grass wasn’t mowed, upstairs wasn’t cool in the house. We were able to get everything fixed, and then the house was great after that. Perfect for large groups. Just wish we hadn’t lost the time to wait for everything to be ready!

I cannot tell you what a blessing this amazing home was to our family. My son and his fiancé booked the Avalon Legacy Ranch for their wedding on August 23rd. We were able to commute back and forth to the venue which saved us BIG TIME as we had left everything we had purchased in one of the fridges for the charcuterie boards/table. It was a save the day moment!!! I spoke to the owner on a few occasions. Extremely helpful no matter what I needed. The house is beautiful, the land, the pool refreshing the tennis courts all fantastic!

Mom/Sons getaway weekend

We picked this listing because of the location, amenities and size since we had a group of about 20 people, mom’s and 10-12 yr old boys. It was great for our large group. The grass was long and itchy so a mowed path down to the pond would have been nice. Overall, the house just needs some sprucing up - it seems worn and in need of some TLC. More bath towels are definitely needed, and some additional, softer pillows would be a nice to have as the ones available were all very hard. We definitely enjoyed our stay and appreciate the use of the property for our getaway!

Ram the owner was excellent to deal with while at the property. He provided excellent service. Fridge for outdoor kitchen went out and he replaced it first day we were there. We had some A/C issues he got corrected first day. There were some lighting issues on the tennis courts which he corrected the second day when we needed them. He sent a pool guy out to clean the pool. He hooked up a water hose to the slide for the kids. He put basketball nets on both goals. He let us tape off a pickleball court on the tennis courts so we could play pickleball. He was very responsive during our entire stay.
