Experience complete privacy in our fully renovated 3-level chalet-style retreat nestled in nature. Our stunningly bright home features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and modern amenities. Enjoy picturesque views from the wraparound deck, entertainment on the 75” screen, and nearby activities like fishing, boating, and hiking. Book now for a memorable stay.

Nestled in the heart of nature, our property boasts a huge wraparound deck with sun-soaked views of the farm fields and rich woodlands in every direction.

The chalet retreat is located just 25 minutes east of Peterborough and 5 minutes from the town of Hastings, which has all amenities and is the gateway into the Trent River and world-famous Rice Lake. If you want to venture out for some hiking, fishing, boating, exploring, just kick back, this private spacious home is perfect.

Great Cozy Quiet Cottage

Enjoyed a 4 day trip with friends at this cottage. There are no neighbors, a huge outdoor deck and a massage chair. What else do you need? The host was super nice as well. Will be coming back next year!

This property was fantastic & everything i was looking for. Spent the weekend away with the boys & couldn’t have asked for a better place. The wrap around deck was perfect for the rainy nights. Will definitely be coming back with my family!

Weekend Trip

Neil was great to deal with leading up to our stay and the place was very clean and private. Totally recommended if don't need to be on the water and are looking to avoid having neighbours on all sides.

Great place to stay for Rice Lake and surrounding area

My friends and I stayed at this location and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everything you need was included. I found the host was easy to talk to and appreciative of the stay. I loved the fact that there were no neighbours and the property was all on its own. I'm looking forward to booking here again.

Out in the Widerness

Although the cottage is close by to the Peterborough attractions (eg Canoe Museum, Petroglyphs, Zoo, Art Gallery, Pioneer Village, Dinosaur Park) the kids enjoyed the back woods trail the best where they built a fort.

Amazing cottage

We had the best time at this cottage. It was beautiful and huge. We loved the large outdoor area, the fire pit, barbecue, and the design of everything inside. The place looks newly built, so there are a few little things that could still be improved. For example, we wish that there were mosquito nets on the windows. Some drawers in the kitchen would get a little stuck, and the dishwasher had some issues. Despite it all, the host was extremely nice, responsive and helpful. I’d absolutely recommend this cottage to others and would definitely stay here again.
