Very quiet location and private. House was clean - and host was responsive. Sadly, my friend's travel plans were delayed so she was only able to stay one night and we were there for a funeral so did not get to specnd too much time at the property.
This was a cute house, clean and very convenient location. It was perfect for two adults and a dog. Very close to a park with walking trails. I appreciated ac units in each room as it was hot during our stay. We had everything we needed right when we arrived! Would definitely stay again.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Our stay here was great but we thought the place could use a or more mirrors, one of the smoke alarms squeaked the whole time we were there that made sleeping difficult and the carpet in the living room smelled of pee and the mattress was not a queen size. But besides that we probably would stay there again

Week getaway to visit family
We enjoyed having the house for the week to visit family. The welcome basket was a nice touch and we enjoyed the space in the backyard to use the firepit.
This was our second time and definitely not the last. Great location for the ski week. Has everything you need. Pet friendly which is a big plus for us. Welcoming basket very much appreciated.

Great little spot that comfortably fits your guests, we had a great time both on campus for FSU alumni weekend and back at the house for a campfire. Thanks again for letting us stay with you!

Other than a hiccup with the security ID numbers the house great. Plenty of room for our needs and the location to the University was great also. Very reasonable in price and the welcome basket was much appreciated. Hopefully we will be using it in the future and will recommend this to others.

From the owner: "Glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to having you stay with us next time you are traveling to the area."
We like that the property was quiet and in a nice neighborhood. It is close to any shopping or dining options. The house was clean and well equipped. Our only complaint would be that there was no broom to clean up after ourselves. We would definitely stay again.
We had a lovely stay at the house. It’s very clean and comfortable. The welcome basket was a nice touch upon arrival.
We stayed at the house to visit Great Wolf Lodge and be able to have our dog with us. It’s about a 7 minute drive to Great Wolf and we had the best time.
We had delicious dinners at 110 Grill and at Tacos Tequila.
The house is next to a beautiful quiet cul de sac perfect for walking our dog.
We would definitely stay again!
Very accommodating for our family while visiting our grandson at the university. Slight problem with security to unlock the door. Wrong ID number was provided. House was very clean needs more hooks to hang clothes on bedrooms. I would definitely rent this property again in the future.
Stayed and visited our kid at FSU- was fine for a quick stay but long term maybe too long because beds were very uncomfortable and was a little musty smelling

Hi Jeanne, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this one didn’t meet all your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The mattresses were updated less than a year ago, with a medium firmness chosen to suit a wide range of comfort preferences, but we're sorry they didn't meet your expectations.- The home has a unique charm, preserved in honor of its original owner, Pearl, to maintain a cozy, vintage feel.- We’ll look into the musty scent you noted to ensure future guests enjoy a fresh and welcoming atmosphere.Thank you for providing this feedback, and we hope to host you again on your next visit to Tallahassee!
We stayed at the property for four nights and it was as a base for our daughter's college tours in Massachusetts. The property was located perfectly for us. The location is both secluded and close to all amenities like groceries, trails and other natural attractions. The property is perfectly setup with charming touches, nicely furnished. It has everything you need to have a very comfortable stay. Bedrooms are cozy with good closet space. All the rooms has TV so we could watch different sports and shows. Bathroom is clean. Kitchen is nicely setup and has all the utensils you'd want to prepare your own meals, which we did. The neighbood is very nice with beautiful homes, we enjoyed our walks around the block. Overall, I'd highly recommend this property.
I thought I did a review two weeks ago, but will try again. Overall a nice place to stay. It is an older home which has undergone updates. You can tell that the landlord is putting time and energy into fixing it up. Just a couple of hints to those who are considering renting, the queen bed is not really a queen bed. My husband and I are used to a king bed at home and we both toss and turn alot, so I ended up sleeping in one of the twin beds. Also we live in rural Vermont so we aren't used to living in a neighboorhood. I took my dog for one walk around the cul-de-sac, but did not do so again because many of the lawns were treated and there were no sidewalks. No worries though because the yard is plenty big enough to exercise your dog. We were very happy to be able to have our dog stay with us. Had a minor issue which the landlord addressed immediately. We have family in the area and will likely stay in Fitchburg again.
We drove from Wisconsin to bring one child back to The Winchendon School and to tour Curry College for another. We planned to be back and forth a lot and found the location of this property decent. Our goal with renting a property is to prepare our own meals and to have a comfortable space. The kitchen had basic supplies/equipment. The pans could be updated due to heavily scratched coating, although they worked ok. I found some of the utensils to be dirty, especially the pizza cutter. I am thinking the previous renters may have tossed used items in the drawer. I made pancakes one morning and could not find a mixing bowl, so I used a serving dish instead to mix the batter. The kitchen details are minor, but worth mentioning. The queen mattress was not the most comfortable, it was thin and soft. The charging ports were a nice convenience on two of the nightstands. The washer and dryer came in handy and were used a few times. Not pictured, but in the living room is a table that folds open with two chairs next to the TV. This provides a place to sit while eating, but we mainly ate sitting on the couch using the coffee table. There was a noticeable musty smell in the house that we got used to after a while. All in all, the property served the purposes we needed it for, but small details could be tended to.
