Location fantastic. House should provide beach towels. Wonderful to have beach chairs and umbrellas. Easy walking to the beach and town. Easy access to hiking trails.

The home is in a perfect location and great for two families where the children can share a room. The house does need a good amount of work as the cabinets are falling apart in some rooms. The beds are comfortable. The bunkbed needs to be looked at by a contractor as it is very wobbly. The biggest problem with the property was how dirty our floors were. Within 30 minutes of walking through the home everyone’s feet were filthy which resulted in my having to do an entire load of laundry the first night just to clean our feet. We did contact the property management who provided a swiffer for us to clean the floors ourselves, but the floor was absolutely disgusting. I’m not sure if it’s ever been mopped.

This house is in a excellent location. It does need some love.. the front door needs to be replaced, doors in house need to be cleaned ( although I didn't wipe them down) , stairs banister needs a cleaning and paint, AND most of all the carpet needs to be replaced. Same carpet that was there 10 years ago when we stayed there.

Great location but …

Great location but thought the property was outdated and needs some work. When you First walk in the place was pretty musty. Bathroom toilet paper holder was barely hanging on the wall, and lots of carpet stains.

Great Family Home

The home is exactly as advertised. It is very close proximity to everything (we walked with 2 kids to everything). The only issue we had was that one of the toilets upstairs was having an issue. Luckily we were able to fix it the couple of times it gave us problems. If you traveling with kids, the home is not equipped with a pack n play, but the property management company referred us to an outside rental company and that worked out great. All in all, it was a great stay!

The location was perfect, close to town and the beach!

We had a few problems with one of the toilets not working and the main t.v. But the maintenance people came out quickly to fix the issues. We were told there wasn’t a washer/dryer on the premises but there was one! We wish the information on the rental had a description of all of the amenities but none was given.

This was our first time staying in this house. We lived the lay out and the house felt like our home for the week. Definitely coming back to 227 Descanso next year!

Clean, comfortable, and convenient

We were a party of 6 including our 3 grandkids. This house was perfect for us. Most importantly, it was very clean. The location made it easy for us to go back and forth to the various activities and restaurants. We were very comfortable there and would not hesitate to stay there again. I don’t usually give reviews but I was very thankful for the reviews when I was searching a place in Avalon. So maybe this review will help a future traveler.
