Waverley Beach Getaway

Our modern cosy Bach with stunning views of the coastline from an upstairs private deck is located only a 2-minute walk from the beach or the playground. The Bach is a two bedroom house with a comfortable sleep out that sleeps 5. The Bach provides a top story lounge overlooking the ocean which is great for watching the waves roll in whether it is a great day or a rough day, or for a more cosy feel the downstairs lounge offers a beachy feel to unwind and relax.
Waverley Beach offers a relaxing, quiet holiday destination for a peaceful getaway with Coleman Ave being the only street with approximately 50 baches belonging to a mix of permanent residents and holiday houses. It also caters to the adventure seeking visitor with the possibility to swim, boogie board surf cast, or enjoy a long stroll on the beautiful rugged black sand beaches.
With a short 5-minute drive you will reach Lake Herengawe (Lupton's Lake) providing great swimming and water activity opportunities, a couple of minutes further you will reach Waverley Golf Club which is ranked in New Zealand's top 10 golf courses. From the beach it is a 10-minute drive to Waverley township which has a well-stocked 4 Square Supermarket, Cafe, Fish & Chip Shop, Library/Information Centre, and town Swimming Pool that is open in the summer.
Waverley Beach is only 30 minutes North of Wanganui, or 30 minutes South of Hawera.
This is also our family holiday house so please treat it with respect as you enjoy our slice of paradise.

This property was amazing from the moment we walked in the door we were impressed, the lounge was cosy, the kitchen was beautiful and had everyrhing we needed, upstairs omg, that view was gorgeous, the deck was amazing. There were so many board games for us to play which was awesome between fishing. I would definatly use this property again

Excellent communication from the Bach owners post booking, Grouse views from the lounge/ decked area and private walkway to the beach.Great value for money and all batch beds/kitchen and other amenities are exactly as advertised.We rebooked due to work commitments, the Bach owner went out of her way to accomodate us.Will book again except for a family holiday next time.

Lovely Batch by the beach

Absolutely loved our stay. Beautiful place to stay. We have stayed in 4 other batches in Waverley and this bach by far is our favourite. Everything from the decor to the flow of the house just matched. Loved that it had a heat pump and the shower flow was great. Loved that it has 2 lounges. The top lounge opens out onto the deck looking straight out to the sea 😍 beautiful . Natalie the host was amazing and easy to deal with. Will definitely be staying here again. Thanks Antonina
